Willesborough Cafe & Pie 'n' Mash Shop — Restaurant in Ashford

Ordered food through uber eats with a predicted arrival time of 3:15 at the latest, I was surprised at that speed so obviously I tempered my expectations for it to be a bit late. Cut to approx 4:15 and I still haven't heard anything. I call the restaraunt and told them the delivery adress and my name, and the customer service I received was offensive to be honest. The server checked with a colleague, and then turned to tell me that the order had been cancelled almost an hour ago due to lack of drivers. The delivery was emotionless and she sounded like she couldn't have possibly cared less, likewise when is said I was a bit disheartened as I'd been waiting for almost an hour for what was supposed to be a quick lunch, her response was "oh, okay." And then I was told it was on me for not checking when they close their delivery window, despite their ubereats store taking my payment and telling me a delivery was pending for over an hour, including providing me with a new delivery time which never came to be.

At no point was any form of an apology offered.

Found this after a quick Google search for a bite to eat whilst on the road and now we're kicking ourselves for not having come here before. 30 seconds off of a junction we've used many times and countless opportunities we've missed for a great lunch. Naturally, we had the pie and mash and as someone who has grown up with both South and East London options, this was just as good as my memories. Served with a spoon and chilli vinegar you already know its going to be good. You might also think tea is just tea but somehow this even tasted exactly like I make at home. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and quick, the place was bright and clean and whilst parking can be tricky with limited spaces out front shared with other businesses you can park down the street and walk down easily enough. Atmosphere is great ftendly everyone  gets along. They asked us to move as they had a leak and stop it getting worse and protect your own clothes

Toast is great it could be better if they stocked wholemeal if they had more for the price it will be heaven.

Hot chocolate  for an extra 50 of charge it is cheap for what you pay to drink it  is great

Black pudding nice but I hate still it is just my option

Bacon: cut quickly nice just right not a lot of fat probably fried it bin it's on fat

Sausages had bits and I don't like sausages like it is just me I think of it didn't it would be 10/10

Beans cooked taste nice lovely

Egg runny cooked on top so it is not a rock
