Cobbler's Café & Wine Bar — Restaurant in Babergh

Disappointingly a really poor overall experience today. We arrived after what appeared to be a busy breakfast session. Lots of tables required clearing and the staff seemed preoccupied. We waited patiently to have our drinks order taken, which was eventually taken but took a long time to arrive. I made sure to place our food order once the drinks had arrived given how long that took. When the food arrived my cooked breakfast was disappointingly small and I'd eaten most of it before my toast arrived. The manager was more interested in her mobile phone than dealing with customers. The young staff seemed lacklustre and I saw them sitting down when there were tables to be cleared and orders to be taken? The service was appallingly slow and inattentive? Our plates weren't cleared at all and after sitting for a good half hour after we'd obviously finished our meal, nobody bothered to take our dessert order? That's 4 desserts Cobblers could have sold if they'd have been attentive. I didn't complain at the time as I felt it would have fallen on deaf ears. Shame on you Cobblers. I'm extremely...

I love coming in here for food, even just a quick snack. Me, my husband and dog are always greeted with a big smile, staff are genuinely lovely, take time to just chat about the weather etc and make you feel welcome. The food is really lovely. Even if we don't eat we always call in for a Chia Latte with cinnamon if we are on a long dog walk, and it's just delish! They arent one of those places where they are just polite cos they want your money, now you can bugger off like some so called "family orientated" establishments that allegedly care about the community. Came in for breakfast. I arrived a little later than the rest of my party but my food was served very quickly, so quickly we finish about the same time still! And it was really good! (I had the full English). Sadly our coffees we ordered were forgotten and after quite some time we asked about them and after that they came fairly quickly.
