Saville Square — Restaurant in Barnsley

Brought my mum here for her birthday due to a friends recommendation. We weren't disappointed. The staff were nice, and friendly, pleasant and polite. The nice barmaid suggested the Saville Burger (£11.95) when I asked for her advice. My mother opted for the Fish slider (£11.95) from the daily specials. We sat outside, while it was sunny and bright. Food was brought to us, I even asked for no dressing on my salad and it wasn't a problem. The salad was quickly replaced with a plain one. The food was really good, my mother enjoyed it very much. She even went for a slice of cake (£3.95) for dessert (why not, it's her birthday haha). The ladies even put candles on it for her! Total bill for 2 was £30.85. I had water amd my mum had a lime and lemon cordial which must have cost the difference of almost £3? Ok.... Been here a few times always been good food, last visit we had a large breakfast which was ok, I asked for the Scottish eggs with salmon on brown bap,which before have been perfect, it came on a nice oblong plate with a jug of hollandaise sauce. But the poached eggs were very hard and some of the the salmon was brown, I sent this back the replacement was served which I presuming was the chef ( i could be wrong) she came over and slammed it on the table, she may as well have thrown it at me. Went there for breakfast with my dad as I've been told it's good. I wasn't dissapointed. 9.95 for the full English with a cup of coffee. More than a cafe but less than a lot of the posher farm shop cafes and the place is a nice environment to have food so I didn't mind. The staff were friendly and engaging the food was good quality, hot and had obviously been cooked fresh rather than re heated.
