Starbucks Coffee — Restaurant in Barnsley

Most of the staff are rude, no smiling, no manners, standing around staring. I ordered a carmel Frappuccino which was put down to collect. when I walked up a staff member stopped me and said that’s not a caramel frappuccino. I took this lightly and stepped back. after standing for another 10 minutes this “caramel frappuccino” still hadn’t been claimed. another staff member pointed at me and said “that’s yours” I laughed and said oh I checked and got told it wasn’t. the staff member pulled a face and look away like I had killed her entire family. again I went to up for a panini a girl served me who was so rude. I felt awkward ordering and like it was my fault for being there. god forbid I asked for blue light discount.

May I highlight the word MOST. I had a pleasant encounter with one lovely bubbly staff member who said small things like “hello” “goodbye” “thank you” and “enjoy” it’s the little things that count.

I will not be returning and I hope you all...

Unfortunately today I received really bad, slightly arrogant service. We ordered a drink with oat milk for my friend who has serious milk allergy, we asked for oat milk and we got oat milk cream then full fat milk.

When we went back to exchange and explain we were met with rudeness and excuses. My friend could have ended up in hospital....we were told it was an accident because the other drinks were made with normal milk. Again, that isn't an excuse for nearly putting someone in HOSPITAL.

I wouldn't have written this review if they were NICE when we came back, we understand mistakes we are human but we do NOT need to be met with rudeness on behalf of YOUR MISTAKES.

This particular franchise owner doesn’t operate well organised stores in my area. I visited both Birdwell in Barnsley and Peel Retail Park also in Barnsley, and they were both pretty rough and poorly managed with no focus on customer service. Peel for example just shouted out people’s orders after taking their names and taking time to tap this in, and were more interested in chatting to each others on their headsets. Birdwell has very little drinks other than, quote, “normally coffee from the machine”. They didn’t have chai, filter coffee, mint tea, or cold brew just to mention a few things.
