Decided to used the drive through to order a 3 piece colonels meal. The chap serving at the drive through was very pleasant and took my order. I requested no drumsticks and he said no problem. i collected the mean and drove back to the office. When i opened the wrapping, i was given two drumsticks and a thigh. i called the branch and was told to speak to the manager. When the manager answered the phone, he did not apologise but told me to bring the drumsticks back and he would change them. i told him that it was not convenient to come all the way back to the branch and he then said we are not obliged to provide special requirements and there is nothing else he could do.
The manager knew full well that no one in their right mind would return to change two drumsticks, most people do not have the time to make two visits during a lunch break.
He really could not care less and I ended up hanging up.
i understand that most fast food shops are franchised, however i would like to know if Head Office or whoever governs these franchises are aware of how customers are treated.
i understand mistakes do happen, however to make a suggestion that i get back in the car, drive back to the branch, queue back up to give back the two drumsticks is ridiculous.
i was not looking for anything other than what i had asked for, an acknowledgement or apology would have been nice,
Please Mr Manager, of the Basildon KFC, enjoy my £4.99 as it will be the last one you get.
Please also learn that you need to keep clients happy or you will lose them.
Just worked out that on average i spent on average £20.00 per month buying food for myself and colleagues.
That's £240.00 from me you will never see. If ten or more people on average spending similar amounts, complained and took their business elsewhere, lets see how long you would keep your...

Update - 04/03/2023 This KFC has just had a refurb so thought we would give it another go. Although it looks nice they have done nothing to fix the issues. Staff are still rude and ignore you whenever possible, with the new ordering system they do not need to talk to you at all. They do a table service but they will not bring your food over, instead they just shout your number out, then leave the food sitting on the side. (Not a big issue, but if you can't do the service, do not offer it). There is no leadership/management and everyone just seems to slump about. We waited around 30mins for our so called fast food, other people there had waited 45mins and still not received there food. I had the Boneless Banquet and the chicken strips had no color or batter, McDonalds' chicken is much better. The original chicken legs had the skin falling of before you even touched it, once again the batter was so thin you could barely taste the best bit. Another big issue is there appears to be no cleaning staff. There were table numbers scattered across the tables so you didn't have many places to sit as you couldn't tell if people were there. (They wasn't) There is rubbish and food all over the floor and tables without a cleaner in site. You have the delivery drivers being loud as they are trying to get there orders but all having to wait excessive amounts of time and becoming impatient.
Overall we will not be going here again, as it's consistently bad and way below par when it comes to...

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an experience I had at KFC Mayflower Retail Park on 21st Sept 2024. which I believe could have been handled more considerately.
During my visit, I accidentally missed the drive-through ordering kiosk. As there was no crowd at the time, I hoped that the staff could assist me in placing an order directly at the window. Unfortunately, I was instructed to drive all the way back to the kiosk to place my order. This seemed unnecessary and inconvenient, especially given the lack of other customers.
I understand that procedures are in place for a reason, but in situations where flexibility is possible without disrupting service, it would be greatly appreciated if staff could exercise discretion to enhance customer satisfaction.
I have always enjoyed visiting KFC and have appreciated the quality of service in the past. This experience, I Hope is an exception and not what I have come to expect from your establishment.
I hope this feedback can help improve future customer experiences. I look forward to your response and a resolution to this...
