Spent the whole night in a&e with my baby and just wanted a quick bite before bed. I go to the drive thru to order and I specially ask for a chicken sandwich meal with some other bits, when I get the window to recieve my food I notice it’s a mayo chicken meal instead. I tell the girl that served my food that I actually ordered a chicken sandwich meal she tell me no I ordered a mayo chicken. I honestly couldn’t be bothered to argue so I said don’t worry I’ll pay again for what I actually ordered. I’m sat there assuming that they’re making what I actually ordered. Nope. I was sat there for at least 3-4minutes a male colleague comes to ask if I’m okay I’ve explained I’m waiting for my order there was a mistake but I’m happy to pay again. He goes oh you’ll have to drive round again because we don’t have a machine for you to pay with here. Can you imagine. I drive around and I specifically ask for a chicken sandwich meal not a mayo chicken a chicken sandwich meal. I pay. I go to the window to wait for my MEAL… what comes out just the chicken sandwich alone ?! I am both a simple buyer and a delivery driver working for deliveroo and just eat. there are hundreds of restaurants in basildon, there are five more McDonald's, but ONLY HERE the employees are rude, ignoring, angry. they pretend not to see anyone around, they treat the delivery drivers quite badly. drivers fight there for 10-15 minutes to get their orders which are already prepared and chilled on the shelves for a long time . in very rare cases it is possible to get it immediately. managers are not paying attention, employees are standing around talking to each other. YOU MAY NOT UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE WAITING FOR AN ORDER at home and they waiting hot food. every second customer is upset because something is missing in the order. there was not once on my order too. the managers should be changed, because it's been the third year and the service is getting worse.(I have been taking orders from here for three years). especially one lady manager with a white shirt a red scarf.
