Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Basingstoke and Deane

As a member of hospital staff I use this Costa regularly. However I'm finding it difficult to get my coffee made just how I like it. Every other Costa I go to is usually happy to take the time and make it perfect so what's stopping this one??

Just for background, my go to coffee is a skinny latte with sugar free vanilla syrup. I ask for it to not be too hot because otherwise I don't get time to properly drink it before I start my shift. It is ALWAYS scalding hot when it comes to me, and I'm not sure if they just don't listen or are lazy. (There is a person who usually gets theirs before me who has a skinny extra hot latte, and often the same milk is used for mine). They have not had stocks of sugar free vanilla syrup for the last three occasions i've been there... It just makes me disappointed.

Today they asked if I wanted regular vanilla instead and I said that would be fine for today, however, in addition to BURNING my tongue, this coffee doesn't taste like any vanilla was even added to it.

Sort it out. Costa is usually better...

This was the one at basingstoke hospital!! The shift manager was extremely rude and stroppy, he had a go at staff members very loudly in front of them making the young girl very uncomfortable, not talking to customers with respect, very bad service this time round!! Staff here really need to remember where they are!! Customers will be sat in there after seeing terminally ill family (elderly and children) or even lost family and need some quiet time to themselves!! The last thing they need is for young shift leaders or whoever he was to stand there raising his voice, shouting across the cafe, huffing and puffing while walking round and being rude...

Although service can be slow, Normally don’t have any problems. However went for a coffee with my Brother after a horrid appointment. Ordered my usual, a Cappuccino. I took the lid off to add sugar and saw there was only 3/4 of a cup. I am a wheelchair user, so my Brother took it up to the staff and asked if they would mind topping it up. From the other end of the café and in front of a queue of people I could hear the Barista shout a my Brother “That’s what Cappuccino’s are like!!!” My Brother suffers with severe PTSD and Anxiety, feeling completely humiliated, he just walked away back to me at the table.
