The Woodhouse Inn — Restaurant in Bassetlaw

Never been here before but took family here for an evening meal , very run down interior but our reserved table was in the conservatory , very cold and crammed 9 of us onto table more suited to 6 . Asked to be reseated inside and created table layout to suit ourselves ! Most disappointing thing though was the fact we had to wait nearly 2 hours for our meal which for a fairly empty pub was ridiculous ; at no point were we told how long and when i originally asked was told they could not tell me . Had we been forewarned when we arrived we would have left and gone elsewhere .... when food eventually arrived was ok but overpriced for what it was . Will not be visiting this...

The staff are very welcoming, we stopped the night it was clean the shower was good aswell but could of done with a bath mat, and had a kettle tea, coffee, milk and sugar for you to have a drink. This is not a criticism but it would of been nice to have a little information in the room such as time you need to check out in the morning and a little about the area. We booked a meal for the evening that was excellent and once again the staff were very professional. Will definitely...

Wasn't impressed with the menu and they wasn't prepared to adapt or change anything. I wanted the half roast chicken, but didn't want chips, peas n gravy asked if they would change for jacket potato and salad but wouldn't. Something else asked about but wasn't prepared to change anything when lots of other pubs been to will change things. You think they would to accommodate people's likes dislikes and diets. Was 4 of us we got up and left afterwards, don't intend...
