The Old Crown — Restaurant in Bath

We found The Old Crown whilst on a walk from Bath Waterside Marina and Caravan Park, it was about a 35 minute walk.

The bar staff were friendly and the toilets were clean. Two pints cost £11.40

There was a sign stating WiFi available, however the WiFi was not working, we were told it was something to do with being linked to a credit card and not being secure.

It was good to see that younger looking people were being asked for identification. (Those days have long gone for me)

The menu appeared limited, Garlic Bread Starter and a variety of Pizzas.

Whilst the staff were friendly the pub itself appeared full of locals and the atmosphere made us feel like slightly unwelcome outsiders.

Dogs are welcome which is great, however the area we sat smelt strongly of dogs and the furnishings/cushions appeared grim.... To be honest this put us off eating here.

If I could leave 0 star I would, I was absolutely disgusted by what I witnessed over this weekend. Make manager screaming at 2 young girls was just the start, making them cry for no fault of theirs as they were very attentive and accommodating. They were polite and couldn’t do enough. How he could treat these young girls is out of order. The next day I witnessed the female manager/owner speak down to one of the girls and also grab her. I truly fear for these girls safety in this work environment. I think they should treat these girls a lot better, heaven forbid one of their parents witness this. 5⭐️ for the two young girls for being able to continue to work in a professional manner, I hope they can find a better treating job. 0 for the owners/managers that treat their...

First time visiting, met a friend for dinner and a catch up. Received a warm welcome from the guy behind the bar, he even advised me I would get a discount as he noticed my NHS lanyard which I was unaware of. The other staff on were also really friendly and helpful. We ordered food and both really enjoyed our meals, my pizza was scrummy and my friend commented that her calamari wasn't chewy like it often can be and that she would definitely choose that again. The pub had a lovely atmosphere, plenty of chatter but we were still able to chat and have a good catch up without any issues hearing each other. We will be visiting...
