Blethers — Restaurant in Belfast

Called today for lunch with my son and brother. My 14 year old son ordered pancakes with maple syrup and bacon. He was served with 1 small pancake 1 slice of bacon and a thimble sized container of syrup. When my brother went to pay the bill the manager asked was everything okay and he said we were a bit disappointed at getting only 1 pancake and 1 slice of bacon he said that was a kids portion. The lad is almost 6 feet tall.....we didn’t ask for a kids portion and when we got home and checked the online menu guess what.....we paid for a full portion. I won’t be rushing back. Good ambience, friendly staff and spotlessly clean, but it felt a bit expensive for what it was if totally honest, after hearing others rave about it.

The food did not agree with me unfortunately either and it was ok but not really tasty. I had a chicken tikka panini and had I not known what I was getting I doubt I’d have been able to identify it as chicken tikka.

This place has a bit of a captive market given its location and it’ll never be short on customers, but there’s definitely room for some...

I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. After walking out of a restaurant 30 yards further down Cregagh road, we entered and were immediately greeted and seated by Paul. We ordered 2 slices of toast with butter and jam and a bacon bap, with coffee and tea. The portions were very generous and the bacon bap was filled with 3 slices of thick back bacon. The service that we received was superb and the prices were reasonable. We will be going back...
