The patisseries are amazing and to die for and Iâd rave about the food to anyone who will listen! The staff are usually lovely, was in Thursday there (14/8/25) and the two girls on were super lovely to everyone and supportive of each other during a rush without faltering on their service they were delivering. Honestly, loveliest girls and I hope to be served by them every time! Have had one time where we came after someone who mustâve known the staff there well in the queue and we just got stuck trying to order while they were still chatting, we asked for four things and were just instantly told the price and the card machine loaded without being asked if we wanted anything else and went to grab what we asked for, we waited for the girl to load our package our products up and said we would also like 8 of those wee ball things (to die for just not going to attempt what the proper name is) and they just said sure while continuing the conversation but forgot when she reached for them and we had to repeat 8 of them. Itâs the only issue weâve ever had here and to be honest if it was our first time or we didnât have as many good and cracking encounters the rest of the time, it would be really off putting as it wasnât enjoyable just standing there feeling like we were intruding on their conversation while they were trying to serve us. But bar this one tiny issue, I rave about the place and the food to everyone I can rave...
Read more3.3 stars. We specifically drove here to check out what was ranked by many as the best patisserie in Belfast. Having had more than a few French pastries in this life, the bar was quite high.
The shop is small and easy to miss with parking a tad tricky. We circled the area a few passes before getting a spot. The shop was full of patrons with maneuvering in and out of the front something to pay attention to. Fair selection of visually appealing baked goods all reasonably priced. We opted for a canelé, pistachio tart, and chocolate croissant with two Americanos to go. Pricing was reasonable. Service was fast.
Unfortunately much like a pole vaulter or high jumper, the pastries here did not clear the bar. The team of employees here ARE super cheery and friendly. The pastries, however, had good texture and mouthfeel but lacked depth in flavor.
Maybe it was just a bad day? For one visit, itâs hard to say if this is every bit as good as the traveling community rates it. For us though, this...
Read moreOn the edge of Belfast, near what looks like an industrial estate, lies Northern Irelandâs best kept secret. A patisserie that puts to shame any in London and most in Paris. A true gem in the rough.
Where to start; such delicious and creamy Paris Brest, perfectly tart lemon meringue pie, delicately balanced eclairs, warm, flaky buttery croissants. Lazy Claire came as a delightful surprise on the first day and rapidly became the highlights of our days. Fuelling up with every pastry available and single origin coffee while taking large to-go boxes full of âone of everythingâ to face the rainy days that count as NIâs summers.
The Patisserie Chef (french trained) could probably teach a thing or two to some of the Grand Chefs out there. Cedric Grolet and the Connaught should visit for tips. Charming team, friendly service and quite an experience. Please open new branches in London to show them...
