Herbert's Yard in Longbridge, Birmingham, is a highly-rated venue known for its excellent street food experience and welcoming, community-focused atmosphere. Here's a review based on common themes and available information: Herbert's Yard Longbridge: A Great Food and Experience Destination Herbert's Yard, a permanent street food hub from the creators of Digbeth Dining Club, is celebrated for providing a vibrant and enjoyable dining and social experience. Great Food and Experience * Diverse Street Food: The core appeal is the constantly rotating selection of high-quality street food vendors, representing the "crème de la crème" of the West Midlands' culinary scene. This setup ensures that every visit can offer a different and exciting menu, with past offerings including Greek, Indian, Vietnamese, and dessert vendors. Patrons consistently praise the quality and variety. * Vibrant Atmosphere: The venue is noted for its welcoming, family-friendly environment with both indoor and outdoor seating. It has been described as a "nice destination" that attracts people of all ages, including young families and those with dogs, fostering a strong community feel. * A Social Hub: Beyond the food, the space operates as a market and community hub, making it a great place to spend time and support independent businesses. It's easily accessible, located near a car park and just a five-minute walk from Longbridge Train Station. Zero Alcohol Lager on Draft While the exact current zero-alcohol lager on draft is subject to change, the venue is known to cater to those seeking non-alcoholic options. * Non-Alcoholic Options Available: Reviews confirm that the bars at Herbert's Yard offer a range of drinks, including a non-alcoholic beer selection alongside local craft beers, wine, spirits, and soft drinks. * Likely Draft Choices: Many modern pubs and craft beer venues in the UK often feature popular alcohol-free options on tap, such as Lucky Saint (a common choice for a 0.5% lager on draft), Heineken 0.0%, or others like San Miguel 0,0 (which is expanding its draft presence). Given the focus on craft beer, they may also feature a no/low-alcohol craft option. You should be able to find a refreshing low or zero-alcohol lager alternative, though the specific brand on draft will vary. In summary, Herbert's Yard is highly recommended for: * Food lovers who enjoy sampling a variety of top-tier street food. * Social outings due to its lively, inclusive, and community-focused atmosphere. * Those looking for a good draft non-alcoholic beer option to enjoy with their meal.

The food court at Longbridge Herbert’s Yard offers a diverse array of culinary options, ranging from burgers and pizza to Asian cuisine, ensuring there's something to satisfy every palate. What sets this food court apart is its rotating selection of food supplier trucks, providing patrons with the excitement of discovering new flavors and dishes on a regular basis. While the food offerings are dynamic and appealing, the beverages maintain a consistent standard quality, with options such as coffee and beer available to complement your meal. Whether you're in the mood for a refreshing brew or a caffeine boost, you can rely on the drinks here to enhance your dining experience. Weekends are bustling at the food court, particularly on Fridays and Saturdays, when finding an available table within a short timeframe can be a challenge. Despite the crowds, the atmosphere remains convivial, fostering an environment where patrons can unwind and socialize freely with friends over food and beer. It's not uncommon to see groups of friends gathered around tables, engaged in lively conversation, or even accompanied by their canine companions, adding to the relaxed and inclusive vibe of the place. Overall, the food court exudes a welcoming and cozy ambiance, making it an ideal destination for casual dining outings with friends or family. Whether you're craving a classic burger, a slice of pizza, or an adventurous Asian dish, you'll find something to tantalize your taste buds amidst the vibrant atmosphere of Longbridge Herbert’s Yard.

Great Little spot to experience the Digbeth Dining Club street food style. Herbert's Yard, named after Herbert Austin, who started the Austin motor company producing some of the greatest and some of the worst British Cars of the 20th century, I'm sure he's spinning at a good 7000 rpm at the moment, but hey the world moves on. The food vans change around so the selection is different whenever you go, we found the selections varied , with plenty of vegan and veggie options. We went on a Friday afternoon so there was plenty of space. The seating is basically wooden benches in a new Wooden shed reminiscent of an Aircraft hangar or Manufacturing Shed from the early 20th century. There's an internal Bar serving pretty standard draft beers and the usual spirits and cocktails, there's also a coffee bar, space heating and piped music. Parking is FOC in the main carpark outside the shopping area and the place is chair and disabled accessible. The outside looks a little boring and you'd easily miss this place, but well worth a visit

Hi Digbeth Dining Club, I am writing to complain about the way my 3yr old son, husband and myself were treated by your staff.

We came to Herbert's Yard on Saturday 28th May 2022 around 1pm to relax and feed our son. My husband bought some drinks from the coffee shop and I opened my son's packed lunch. One of your security guards came over and told me to pack up my food and leave as you aren't allowed to eat your own food in there. He was very aggressive and intimidating. I said to him that he is 3 years old and he needs a packed lunch due to dietary requirements. The security guard said that he didn't care and we need to leave now. I said to him that's fine but you will have to wait as my husband's buying our coffees, and his lunch needs packing away. (A sandwich, home chopped cucumber and tomatoes and packet of crisps). The security guard said "what do you mean wait" in an agressive tone.

My husband returned and the security guard came back over and told my husband the same thing. He asked to speak to the manager. The manager said that we weren't allowed to bring in children's food in and there were signs up stating this (there were no signs up saying this). At this point there were 2 security guards and the manager standing over a family of three (husband, wife and 3yr old boy). We were made to feel really uncomfortable and intimidated. My son was scared at first that he thought he had been naughty because we had to leave. We gathered our things and left calmly without fuss.

Points that really upset us:

We have been going Herberts Yard since it opened which I believe was last October 2021 and are weekly customers who live a 5 min walk away. We were treated in such an appalling manner.

Our son has dietary requirements but still we go in there as a family and have never had a problem bringing our son's packed lunch and have either bought food or drinks as we understand that Herbert's yard is a venue and needs to make money as a business.

Cost of living in the current economic climate, common sense was completely missing, maybe we could only afford a coffee each and shouldn't be made to feel intimidated and not worthy customers.

On many occasions other customers have brought food in and nothing was said or done so we were unaware of this 'rule'.

My husband was disgusted that a women and 3yr old child were treated so poorly by your staff.

Many other restaurants allow toddlers to bring their own food when accompanied by paying adults. (Prezzo, Nandos, Beefeater, Slim Chickens, Boston Tea Party, Miller and Carter to name a few).

I look forward to a reply after this matter has been...
