I've lived on Station Rd for 25 years. Update: £7.30 for a small fish and chips. It needs to be good. Greasy and tough batter. Chips, meh. Times are tough for everyone but cutting too many corners and sacrificing any semblance of quality means daft, I’m not wasting my money here again. This current incarnation of the local Fish Bar is the best in that time. The dry, cardboard fish has gone. The stale oil has gone. I know inflation is high but it takes the mickey, the prices have gone way up and the portions have become tiny. I'm not exaggerating, I really mean tiny.

Mini fish and chips here has now become a literal sliver of fish and a tray of chips so shallow it has the space of two paper plates placed on top of each other (width of one small chip) that contained about 12 chips. All for £9. Madness.
