I recently had the pleasure of visiting our local pub, and I must say it was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was charming and cozy, setting the perfect mood for a relaxing evening.
The pub's menu was a culinary adventure in itself, offering a wide array of delectable dishes to suit every palate. Whether you're in the mood for traditional pub fare or something a bit more adventurous, this place has you covered. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented.
The drink selection was equally impressive, with a fantastic variety of local and international beers, wines, and spirits. The knowledgeable staff was more than happy to recommend the perfect pairing for my meal, making the experience even more enjoyable.
What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The staff were not only attentive but also genuinely friendly and eager to make our evening memorable. They created an atmosphere of camaraderie that was infectious and made us feel right at home
In summary, our local pub is a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of delectable dining, an impressive drink selection, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like family. It's a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable night out. I can't...
Read moreWe went here for lunch as we had received vouchers for use. We used this pub regularly up to 2016, then we moved house. Used sporadically since. Obviously not been since 2020, so decided to take advantage of the vouchers and give it a whirl. Sadly, very disappointed with the food. The burger order was wrong, asked for burger and salad, no chips. Came with chips and no salad, or salad on the burger either, so dry. The fish and chips were just awful. Fish very over cooked and tough - yes it was hard to cut! The fish finger sandwich was fine. There was also a long wait to be served. We spoke to the waitress who had already apologised for the wait and she knew by sight that the fish was over cooked. She gave us a very big discount but that wasn’t the point. We were hoping for a nice meal and it wasn’t good. She stated that the chef was tired from a busy Friday night and grumpy. My response was the chef should have come out front and explained the poor food, not the waitress. So despite the hefty discount, I won’t return, which saddens me. There’s a lot of competition for lunch pubs in the area, and they have to do better. Perhaps pay two chefs to cover days and nights to ensure good quality food. Felt so sorry for the waitress who was lovely and very attentive, even before we complained. Shame the...
Read moreNot the best start after waiting at the bar for over 10 minutes to order food as there was only 2 ladies serving (clearly not enough staff on considering eveyone was using vouchers that had been posted that week) i was told 2 of the meals i wanted to order were not available, so i had to go back to the table and quickly say to choose another meal. The waiter that showed us to the table should of been informed of this and advised us of meals that were not available. When the starters were bought out to us the presentation of the mozzarella bites was extremely poor, 3 bites in a pie shaped dish (something you would use when camping) considering the menus description saying with chives and on a bed of rocket, neither of which were present. I asked the waiter and his response was "nothing to do with me, need to speak to the manager" not a very satifactory answer really, he then bought out a very small bowl of rocket between 3 of us. The main meals we ordered were all correct and very nice. When doing a promotion with vouchers more staff should be on and more detail given to food before being sent out...
