Really do not like using this branch and avoid it as much as possible. However, it is the closest to home so when walking it’s the only choice.
Poor rude service again today. The assistant started quite polite but interrupted a private conversation and soon became offensive and rude. The staff do not fully understand the law around buying painkillers and were rude and embarrassed myself, and my adult son, In front of a full shop. Just the appalling service this branch is renowned for unfortunately. Staff should be properly trained on the law. Two adults wanting to make two separate transactions were refused. Aldi, sort your training out and while you’re at give them customer service training too. Their version of polite is really not polite. It’s abrupt, matter of fact and bares no resemblance to good customer service. I may be viewed as a problem customer but I have two points on this:
1). I’m a reluctant ad hoc customer so really couldn’t give a damn what you think 2). If I should choose to spend my money in your store and receive rude service, I’m not going to stand for it. If that makes me a problem customer then it just highlights the fact that your service is the problem and your staff aren’t used to being challenged for rudeness.
Simple answer is, sort it out! Stop blaming customers for not...
Read moreGood shop, but the staff make it a poor shopping experience.
Every time I’ve gone to the self checkouts (about six times now), I’ve been accused of shoplifting. For example, one member of staff literarlly shouted out “shoplifter” as I was walking over to the self checkouts area, then went quiet once I’d paid. On another visit, as I was heading to the payment screen a staff member said “you haven’t paid yet, where do you think you’re going?” After I paid, she quietly said “ah” and told me not to forget my receipt.
Most of the staff also spend a lot of time talking on their headsets about things unrelated to work, such as going to the pub. They often do it while customers are nearby and even look at you while talking, which makes it feel unprofessional. When you ask them to repeat themselves, they either go silent or tap their headset and say “sorry, what did you say?”
The security guard is usually on his phone speaking another language another than focusing on what’s happening in the store, and real shoplifters seem to go unnoticed.
Overall, the prices are good but sadly the service really lets...
Read moreVisited this shop for the very first time not k owing the area, I pulled in to what I thought was a normal aldi car park not one controlled by parking Eye, was hit with a £40 fine, as a sign maker there isn't enough clear signage outside or in store, when you drive into a store car park your main focus is trying to spot a parking space. If I was pulling into a regular car I would look for any pay n display, it don't even cross your mind when pulling into an aldi. So after doing your hour shop remember to enter your registration on the machine which is in the shop somewhere. I got the fine in March,it states if I had the receipt to prove I shopped there it would be rescinded. I visited the store in January, I don't keep a shopping receipt for nearly 3 month...... Who does..... Anyway I will not ever shop there or any aldi again, piss takers, giving no stars won't let me post so had to give...
