Went for a meal on Saturday evening ordered food which there was 40 minute wait which was not a problem for us.
Whilst waiting for the meal the waitress where coming up to are table with other food which we had not ordered this was a few times whilst waiting for are meal.
Eventually when food did arrive the steak was tough and no taste.
Whilst serving the meals they said to one of our party that they have run out of chips and asked if they could change it to a sweet potatoes chips which whilst we was eating are meal she was waiting for a meal to be prepared.
The staff asked how was the meal which we said the steak was tough and had no taste which did not give have an explanation for this.
All they wanted to do was give us a free desert or a drink. Which we refused because we was already full up from a meal and did not give us an explanation.
Since the Jolly Crofters has changed hands this is the second time we've been and it has not been a good experience we will never be going to this pub again and I will be telling people not to bother going to go because it is not good food anymore.
You do need to make changes...
Read moreWell a cold pub in cold Uk ain’t on. We arrived with family for a meal because our first choice was fully booked and we had to eat ! My first thought was strike a match to the fake fire place and get some Heat on - fake yes and heating broke according to service. Should have left then ! The ambiance was good but lacked the warm spirit of a pub - Management make a plan to install a genuine wood burner so customers can be happy 😃 or get the “heating fixed” So past the negative above that leads I’m sorry to more negative points below: Service -none , had to order at pub. No coms at table by serving staff so no extras ordered ie coffee deserts etc = no business boosters (extra orders that normally would not have been placed) Burger-dry, bulky and not good. The two patties were burned and dried out being tough to bite through. Beer-what I asked for but served in a Zombie glass (tall mineral glass for coke etc). Not my style for a fake beer as had to be alcohol free so would have loved a beer 🍺 Ablutions-dirty, smelly and not inviting. Guess what -...
Read moreThe place is a dog friendly. We ordered Steak, small size fish and chips, scampi, steak ale pie, and s hand full portion of chicken for our dog (hardly enough) no alcohol drinks, deserts were 2 sticky toffee pudding, choc brownies a scope of vanilla icecream. The pub is dark and we were seated on a table on a dirty carpet, near a noisy lot of mature men &women who seem to be work night out. The pub manager leads other customer to more quiter descent places. The was him and a lady who are doing serving (Alcohol and food). The place was busy. The fried potatos chip is a peoce of art, steak is thin and small for a meal, the deserts are very sugary but delishshshshsh. The lady was an unhappy person she does not even made an eye contact, the manager was some how exhausted and not chatable. I am a retired person, came as a tourist to UK expecting people more friendly and somehow welcoming strangers, went out to celebrate my sis birthday but was disappointed with the unfriendly-ness of some people here. Is it normal? I...
