Yeah don't think I'll be coming here again iv been a number of times and it's always been great food for a fair price. I have just come tonight after not coming for about 6/7 months and my God has it changed. The standard of the food quality has gone down and the prices have risen. I have just paid £24 for curry and rice and a stater feel well ripped off lesson learned i guess. Have to edit review to add stuff i can't reply to the owners response £14 for a curry what is about £8 to £10 from other places in the area (this lamb railway also isn't as nice as it use to be i told everyone I know about this curry how it was the nicest I have ever tasted now it's just a mid curry) £7 for a starter granted no one else in the area do lollypop chicken but this use to be about £5 what a starter should be (this also is nowhere near how nice it use to be) £3.50 for onion fried rice witch is roughly the same in other places in the area but this is only a small portion and in other places it's a large portion (also wasn't as clever as iv had at other places i can't say the stand has dropped on this as it was my first time from use but it wasn't that good) So in conclusion I stand by everything I have said quality has dropped and it's dearer than everywhere else in the area. You don't get better food than everywhere in the area and it most definitely wasn't worth £24.50 for what i got. If I got similar from another place in the area I would have paid about £17 and I would have had a bigger portion of rice. I most definitely would have been satisfied with the food and price.

Number 1 Indian restaurant in the Bolton area. Some serious connoisseurs of Asian cuisine amongst our group. Veterans of the southern Indian lamb delicacy converted to the North Indian variety served here. Sizzling platters incredible, combined with incredible curry and sides in the original el tel combo meal, this place is one not to be missed. Will be back again next week, top tier place- give it a try!

Next level Indian, the food quality and taste is up there with the gods. The peshwari naan is the best I think they make this from the tears of god's. The railway lamb is my best dish it's not spicy but the flavour profile is unbeatable. You will not be disappointed, you will probably be back the week after for more.

We went to this restaurant after a weekend away because we didnt feel like cooking. We had a fabulous meal but this review isn't about that meal but the poor meal we ordered as a takeaway last night (20th October). We had papadoms to start which came with 3 very small pots of mango, yoghurt and onion. which may be normal ,but eating in you get far far more. Tandoori platter which was very disappointing and cold. Mains, we ordered exactly what we had when we ate in which was delicious. however last night, totally, insignificant. Whilst we would recommend eating in, we chose to have the meal at home as it was our wedding anniversary and therefore we wanted a romantic , quiet night in. We paid over £40 for this meal and felt it was not good value for money. Be aware if you have a takeway, the quality...

A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering

On the recommendation of a local, we stumbled upon Patrão—a seemingly unassuming takeaway that hides a secret treasure. Stepping inside, we were guided to a charming guest room tucked away at the back. What a transformation!

The ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The waiter was not only attentive but also a culinary guide, helping us navigate the menu with spot-on suggestions.

As for the food? Five stars simply don’t do it justice. Every dish was a masterpiece—rich in flavor, perfectly balanced, and beautifully presented. Patrão doesn’t just serve meals; it crafts memories.

Highly recommended for anyone seeking a...
