I'm extremely suprised and amazed by this restaurant after the disappointing reviews of some people.
The Terrazza demonstrates the true meaning of Italian cusine such as the fresh, local and simple ingredients and their cooking methods can make an amazing dish.
The restaurant meets people's needs such as vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options and still makes a delicious, hearty and flavourful dishes. The restaurant staff are very professional and hygienic like the restaurant and friendly with children , which means this is a good family restaurant and even the children's options are still high quality.
The restaurant has a good atmosphere and modern decor and beautiful crockery and cutlery which matched the high quality food. One thing to note is that some of the food is very salty and that is only thing to fault about the restaurant.
The main menu of the restaurant offered classic Italian dishes and such as calamari and fresh pizza. The pizza is probably the best I've had, the dough was very fresh and quite thin and the marinara sauce tasted authentic Italian and the pizza had the perfect amount of cheese. The pizza was cooked in a pizza oven in the dining area with a skilled pizza chef who obviously knew how to make real pizza.
The drinks menu was also outstanding aswell as the dessert menu. If I could give it 10 stars I would for the amazing service on a busy saturday night and still the food was a pleasure and an honour to taste. Also for the good hygeine which is important to me and the amazing value for money. Would definitely recommend and go back again. Out of many restaurants in the area I believe this one of the best Italian restaurants and one of the best...
Read moreGreat experience, great Italian. After travelling a long distance we arrived at Ribby Hall excited and hungry. We decided to unpack and go straight to to the recommended italian restaurant. Inside is lovely and well themed with an outdoor seating area for those hotter days. As you can see from my picture, the prices are not too pricey for restaurant quality food. You will be looking around £30 a person for a starter main and drink. As long as you are not going for the pricey steak that is £20+ dish in itself.
There is a kids menu available which we found our 12 year old had to have the 2nd time around due to the healthy portions you get, which suited me as the bill was a lot cheaper. So if you have plenty of kids who are eating off the restaurant, it becomes a very affordable option.
The food quality is great, really delicious food. There is plenty of staff, and we will most certainly be coming again during our stay 5 nights at Ribby Hall, and overall, we will have visited the place 3 out of the 5 days. Very impressed and well worth the visit.
My partner did mention in her pasta dishes she had twice it felt like they was abit tight on the meat inside. So for this we gave it a 4 star but other than that the pizzas and...
Read moreWe have been here numerous times before and it’s been fantastic though tonight it was terrible and very disappointing.
I ordered pate - when it arrive the toast had mould all down the side. The waiter said he would get some more, on his return he explained it just needed defrosting and would be a few minutes. He later returned with a complete new fresh dish - the toast was still cold and the pate had just been defrosted yet informed we wouldn’t be charged for that.
We ordered two more drink which took 15 minutes to arrive after asking twice. Then our children’s cordials took another 20 minutes to arrive.
My husbands lasagne came - it was burnt and the mince was dry. I had the chicken in a creamy mushroom garlic sauce served with tagliatelle. The chicken was rubbery and Luke warm-as though it had already been cooked previously then warmed through.
Neither of us ate our meals - in hindsight we should of gone after the poor starter.
On previous visits it’s been really busy and the service has been amazing - tonight it was dead yet very poor. Really disappointed as we have been going here for years and enjoyed our last visit as the new Italian-unfortunately it as put us off and we won’t be returning...
