This is by far the worst meal out experience I’ve had in my life which has driven me to leave this review as soon as we left sitting in my car. They took other people’s orders before ours and totally forgot us, waitress was getting frustrated at us when we asked questions to do with the menu (also didn’t make eye contact but just huffed and puffed, they brought us a number of wrong dishes that they later changed and my sons dish happened to be wrong that I realised halfway through him eating it. Steve (their waiter and a very nice man) acknowledged it was wrong and said it would be knocked off the bill, the man at the bar along with the female waitress who took our order proceeded to literally shout at me because we notified them about that dish at the end. To start with, she said it was right until she checked with the kitchen, but still she wouldn’t apologise. Never have I felt that disrespected and verbal aggression towards be by restaurant workers. Even 2 other tables next to us told my wife that the service had been terrible. And just to top it off, mine and my wife’s dishes had no flavour whatsoever! Avoid this place, it’s expensive and you’d get a better meal and service at your local takeaway. Photo is the dish they tried to tell us was ‘house hot & spicy chicken wings’, when Steve (their nice waiter) clearly told us that it was their ‘house Cantonese wings’! I know Chinese, and this dish was clearly...
Read moreVery disappointing food for the price. Well over £200 for a banquet for six people including drinks. Soup and ribs were good, spring rolls very unusual containing just minced lamb. All main courses were very bland and tasted the same with the exception of the sweet and sour which was ok. Desert consisted of a slice of melon each. They do not do any alcohol free beers so if you’re not drinking it’s coke, lemonade, water, or j2o. Coffee is limited to instant, no espresso or anything else. I feel they would do better to have a much smaller menu than the many dozens of main courses on offer. Maybe a much smaller choice of proper Chinese food. Overall, very disappointing and not up to the standard of food they used to serve. Sadly we will not...
Read moreThis was my first visit to Jade Palace. My first impressions, I found it to be very nice inside cosy and comfortable. The restaurant is very well laid out with plenty of space between the tables. The decor is really nice and the staff very pleasant. We were served by Lin and Steve who were great. Really accommodating and made sure our visit was memorable of which it was. The food was piping hot and and served quickly. Each dish was lovingly presented and delicious. Although the restaurant was only partly full on a Tuesday evening the atmosphere was very nice. I will certainly be visiting again. This ranks as one of my favourite restaurants locally. An all rounder and good...
