One of the last true drinkers pubs in Lancashire. The Robin Hood is a venerable establishment with a history going as far back as the early 1800's. This lovely little building overlooks the river Ogden and is one of the cosiest places I have visited. To be clear, this is not a hostile dive bar, nor is it a millennial gastro-pub which serves beer as an afterthought. This is an old fashioned inn with a log fire, a small bar and a friendly cat. Inside there are two small rooms and a darts board. There is additional seating outside on stone tables overlooking the rushing river below.

You can park on the street and there is plenty of space, just be mindful of local residents. The Robin Hood sells local beers and good snacks. No food. A wonderful place.
