Firstly our waiter was very friendly, but the first thing that hit me was a really odd smell. It smelt very chemically, I thought nothing of it, in fact I thought "well, at least they keep it clean!"

He took our drinks order before we sat down, thought that was a bit odd but at least it's efficient.

Ordered starters, I had the black pudding bon bons, and have to be honest, was the best bit of the whole meal for me, really enjoyed them, but Mums starter was freezing cold, she didn't say anything and begged me not to, so I didn't.

Mains came, first alarm bell came, when my Mum who ordered stroganoff with added beef bit into something and said "Ew! I don't know what that is but it's not beef and it's rock hard" she found these all over her food, have to be honest, gave fake meat vibes. I was vegetarian for 13 years, I know fake meat when I see it.

Waiter was very nice to my dog, and they do a little doggy dinner that he really enjoyed (but he eats dog poo too so cannot be trusted)

I had the steak (not veggie anymore, obviously) I asked for it rare but it was more like blue, but that was okay, I didn't mind. The cheese sauce was more like a dip as it was very thick. It was kind of cold, but I know rare steak loses its heat. So this wasn't unreasonable. I was really enjoying the chips until CRACK I bit into a stone in the chip, and I've cracked my tooth - it's going to be an expensive trip to the dentists.

After all these problems, I just had to tell the waiter especially about the stone and the weird fake meat.

Only he then changed from being nice and helpful to as sassy as anything "It's just a stone in the potato, and that's steak".

I was a bit shocked to be honest, jeopardising food safety and barely an apology!

It's just not good enough really, other than the chips and black pudding bon bons, the food was less than average and it came to £73 without alcoholic drinks.

There are so many amazing restaurants in the area, this one just doesn't stand up.

Edit: Yep. The stone chipped my tooth. Dentist confirmed. So that's...

Food was OK, ill give them that But...its all down hill from there... There was only 9 of us and they could bring all 9 meals out at once, there was almost a 15 minute gap between the first 6 and the last 3 meals, and that's forgetting the massive wait between starters and mains and again mains and the one pudding (this was all shocking especially when we had pre-ordered food and the place wasn't even that busy) We had to ask to order drinks which came half way through the starters The children's meals were served on scalding hot plates, so had to be left to cool before the 18month old 2 year old and 3 year old could even begin to eat The disabled toilet/baby change was out of order due to a light being out, and yet staff were still using it?? Little weird but then there was no where else to change the baby's (again frustrating as they knew we were a party of 9 adults and 3 children that had been booked for well over a week) The other final nail in the coffin, to pre book and pre order food a £10 deposit perhead was paid Unfortunately my heavily pregnant sister in law, who had taken quite unwell that day, was not able to make my wife's 30th birthday party, now its understandable that you don't get that money refunded back, but when you have to remind the staff of the £90 deposit that was paid to be taken off the final bill but they only take £80 off I mean you got our money already what was the tenner off the bill for something like that in this situation...

Can't say they helped themselves...

Won't be goin back, won't be recommending, still in shock at the...

On arrival the environment and decor is really welcoming and homely, the politeness and service offered by the waiters was second to none, you were made to feel like a VIP!! We were handed the menus and listened to our waiter presenting the pie/soup options....it was then that we discovered the much reduced menu on offer as the business was in the process of changing this then after we had ordered we had to wait over half an hour for the food as there was only one chef on duty, now I do understand that changing the menu can create some significant obstacles for a business but surely I should have been notified of this when booking the table not after arriving sitting down and ordering drinks!! As you would have expected the waiters were very apologetic about the length of time we had to wait for the food, again maybe this should have been discussed with us on booking!! Once the food arrived the presentation and quality was excellent, all 5 of us really enjoyed our food. In summary once the new menu is launched and the chef team is back to normal this will most likely be a 5* experience but for now I'm afraid I can only award 3 stars based on my visit Also might be worth informing potential customers on your website that you have a...

I wanted to show my Italian in-laws good British food as their perception of food from our country is generally not good. I was keen to prove them wrong and this was a fantastic venue to do just that. The service was the first thing we noticed. In fact, our young waiter Ben blew us all away. We eat out a lot and I am struggling to remember a time when we had better service. I used to run a restaurant and so I am more than a little familiar with the steps of service and I have to say this kid did not miss a beat. Not too much and not too little. He even made us laugh. Top marks for him. The food next. It was great. Really really very good and we ate absolutely everything. The place itself was in a lovely location and had a really nice ambience. It was clean and welcoming. Really cannot go overboard as to how good this place actually is; thanks to Brexit and the pandemic finding a place able to maintain such high standards is getting increasingly more difficult so kudos to the owners.

This gastro pub is hidden away in quaint Ramsbottom. The Coach burger was nice, but it wasn’t above and beyond, the case with most meals. The Sunday roast was great, the beef could have been better in another cut, and the vegetables were lovely. And of course, who can forget those delicious and humongous Yorkshire Puddings! The sweet potato soup was yummy, but could have used a bun instead of toast. The dessert was good, and even though there was a bit of a miscommunication, but it was immediately resolved. I must take note of the awesome service, greeting us at the door and always checking in with us. One thing I can say about dessert is that the ice cream could be better. I will definitely come here again!

A really nice little pub. The staff are extremely friendly and make u feel welcome. I had the 12oz stake which was cooked to perfection ( medium to well done) the chips are made from real potatoes with skin on. I wasn't sure I'd like them at first but to my surprise they are extremely good. Plenty of onion rings aswell which most places you pay extra for. They even do a doggy dinner for 2 pounds (beef chicken potatoes and gravy) I thought that was a nice touch for couples out for a walk. With a dog and fancy a snack or something to eat. Drink's are a bit expensive but I'd definitely recommend the coach. And will go again
