The Red Lion Inn — Restaurant in Borough of Rossendale

Great location and pub. Friendly staff and lovely food. Room was spotless and a great size, but what let them down no one lives on the premises during the night. Our stay was disrupted by two men lying outside out bedroom drunk and smoking by the fire exit making a noise by shouting and banging on our bedroom wall. I went out twice to them and they just laughed. I telephone the number in the brochure and a chap did come but by this time 3.40am they had gone to bed or left the premises. The following morning I did address this and was promised an e mail from the manager regarding the incident. I emailed the pub but todate have not received any notification back from them. A treat for an evening away ruined by drunks. Would have liked to have made this a memorable time and the possibility of returning at some point, but not happy. Cost £75 a night to lie on a bed and try to sleep, but not allowed to due to others. Very disheartened that no reply has been sent...

Wow……. What an amazing find! A beautiful tradition pub locked away in a cobbled square, on a hillside. in a quiet Lancashire village. ||||We were warmly greeted by the bar staff and showed our room for our overnight stay.. Our boutique style suite was beautifully designed with a country house theme and was comfortable, clean and welcoming, with complementary coffee pods, tea chocolate and biscuits.||||We enjoyed a bar meal before heading out. The menu consists of traditional home cooked food, which was superbly cooked and presented. We both had pies which were amazing tasty ( the homemade mince and onion pie was combined with bovril gravy and was topped with pulled beef #great combo)||The breakfast was a full english and was also cooked to perfection, nothing was lacking!||||Please see the pictures of our room and food.
