My partner and I ordered two burgers, which were advertised as coming with rosemary salt fries and onion rings. After placing the order, staff approached us to say they had run out of certain burger buns and asked if we were still happy to proceed. This was awkward, as it’s not something we’ve ever experienced before. My partner, trying to be polite, said “yes, that’s fine,” even though it really wasn’t. Realistically, how can you serve a burger without a bun? We were very hungry and it was late in the evening, so we decided to give it a chance after they reassured us they would “make it up to us” and give us something extra.
After a long wait, the food arrived—and it was extremely disappointing. What we got was just a patty with melted cheese, a bit of salad on the side, no sauce at all, and plain fries (with no rosemary salt). The onion rings were also missing. The whole meal looked unappetising and I was very upset. I asked if they had any kind of bread and suggested ciabatta, because eating a patty on its own felt ridiculous. They eventually brought some bread, which at least made it manageable, but it was still dry with no sauce—I had to use tomato ketchup instead.
Partway through eating, a staff member asked if we still wanted our onion rings, which confused us since we never said we didn’t. They eventually arrived very late, just four tiny ones (two each), which felt pointless by then. We had also ordered corn ribs, which were awful—tasting like they had been frozen and microwaved. For dessert, we tried the lava cookie, but it was very underwhelming and far from what we expected.
Despite being told we would be given something extra to make up for the missing buns, we never received anything.
Including drinks, sides, burgers, and dessert, the bill came to nearly £60. For the quality of food we received, this price was shocking. I’ve eaten in central London for less and with far better quality.
This was my first time dining here, and unfortunately it will also be my last. While the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was okay, the number of mistakes and the poor quality of food completely ruined the experience. Overall, I would rate the entire meal a...

My hunters chicken came out along with my friends fish and chips. We had finished ours and my 2 other friends were still waiting for there jacket potato. After an hour there potatoes came out after a couple of enquiries. Stone cold. 2 other tables around all full were also complaining about food being cold or having to wait. My friend ate hers because she was hungry but the other told the waitress it was cold. She brought it back and put it in the microwave. It was hot the second time but completely dry. We go there once a month. Majority of times food and service good. But...
