We went to go use the lake for SUP for an hour or two but decided to have something to eat as well. Both ordered Bacon and Egg baguette and i must say beautifully cooked and potion size very good for price paid. Well done girls cooking it so well when you were obviously rushed off your feet serving so many people.

Great little cafe in a delightful spot by the lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food delicious - especially the home-made vegetable soup. Plenty of parking and a great children’s playground nearby, which was good when Junior became restless!

We go here to sit by the lake at least once a month. The food and drink is good. The Play sand area and pond dipping is wonderful for the grandchildren. We spent a whole afternoon here.

Food was okay, staff are young and got confused on what desserts where after asking if we wanted desserts. Partner got a tea with sugar when requested no sugar. These things happen. One member of staff seemed to take the lead asking if people were happy and making sure the staff cleared tables quickly. However whilst trying to eat a dessert I had a man come in with 2 large dogs (rottewilers) that continued to bark making children cry to the point a woman left with her children. The dogs slobbered everywhere I love dogs I do but not while eating. He proceeded to throw his dinner on the ground for the dogs. It was rather off putting. Seemed to be a regular as staff knew him by name. Whilst sat at the table I was facing the counter a lad was stood near kitchen area biting his nails picking his hands scratching his head picking his ears and staring out at the customers whilst in tracksuit bottoms so...

Don't waste your time! We visited Minster today and having read many favorable reviews about The Boathouse, six of us decided to go and find it for a drink and some lunch. As we arrived, we noticed a member of staff closing the outside shutters up. I asked her if they were actually open and was told that they were closing up as it had been very quiet!!! I couldn't believe it, especially as it was half term AND only 2.15 in the afternoon!!! As we drove out, a family with kids pulled in and then followed us back out and I suspect they weren't the only ones! It's nice to know that there are businesses out there that can afford open and close when they feel like it. It's a pity they fail to mention this on their website! I certainly wouldn't...

Lovely unusual spot for a meal very tranquil in autumn months a big log burner going. Sunday lunch was delicious and very reasonable unfortunately due to the place being dog friendly a man came in with two huge dogs both soaking wet and they was very loud whenever the guy got up to speak to someone outside. The barking was so intense it upset a child with her grandmother and they had to leave, he also began feeding the dogs bits of his dinner on the floor by throwing them down.....very off-putting if I'm honest. I think the management should maybe adjust the policy on dogs or have a word with the particular chap (seemed a regular) as it's not a great advert for the otherwise...
