Called into the Ship on Shore today. Was pleasantly greeted buy the owner and another gentleman sat at the bar. Upon checking that food was being served my sister & I were given the options of where we could sit. We chose the conservatory. Although trading was on the quiet side, there was a pleasant atmosphere and during our conversation with the owner discovered their plans for improvements. We ordered from the lunchtime lite bite menu. Our drinks arrived and we chatted whilst waiting for our food to be cooked. When the food arrived I was pleased that I'd asked to have one of the chicken burgers removed from my bun. The portions were very generous and the food was lovely.    Read moreThe Ship on Shore has had a revamp and now does breakfast, lunch and evening meal, so we decided to give it a go. I am pleased that we did, went up for the evening meal. Warning if you want fast food then this is not the place for you, the food is freshly prepared and so we waited a little while, but we had a chat and so it didn’t see very long. The food was well worth waiting for, generous portions and freshly cooked.
