Never seen such shambolic staff! Arrived in the afternoon and wanted to sit near TV to watch the Rugby. The only table free was filthy with plates with half eaten food on and mugs and glasses on it. We ordered drinks at the bar and asked the barman if he could get the table cleared 'yes no problem'. 10 minutes later still not cleared. I asked again and was told 'were busy we'll get to it'. He told a member of staff again to clear it. 20 minutes later still not cleared....so I did it myself as we wanted to order meals! Half an hour and the barman turned up to clean our table....I explained the I'd had to do it myself....he just grunted and went. The next table overheard we were ordering food and said theirs took over an hour to come and it was cold....so reluctantly we ordered. And yes...long delivery and cold and pretty poor quality tbf. Our evening meal wasn't much better. One of our reviewers complained as his was cold, but the staff just didnt seem at all interested. Next morning we hoped breakfast wouldn't be as bad as it was a straight forward 'buffet'. We were in the toast queue when a woman member of staff pushed by us to refill the 'bread baskets' by hand...this concerned us as we'd just seen her in a cupboard putting sugar, butter, knapkins etc out and wiping the sides down with a mucky cloth at the breakfast bar/coffee bar.....without washing her hands inbetween time! Then she's handling bread that's going in peoples mouths, Disgusting! Breakfast was the best meal we had, even though a lot of stuff had gone and we had to wait in the queue waiting for the buffet to be refilled. Then to top it off the coffee machine broke and poured steam out everywhere. Overall pretty dire....Not a place we'd recommend. Wheelchair access is a bit tricky, and if your on a mobility scooter youve no chance. 4/10...and only because the beer was cheap.

An absolute shambles. We were staying at the Premier Inn and decided to dine at Brewers Fayre with it being on site. We booked a table for 7pm. When we arrived we were told there's a 40 minutes wait for food. We ordered at the bar at 7:15pm. Stonebaked Margherita pizza (Cheese, Tomato, Oregano), chicken tikka masala and a kids' Chicken with chips and beans. We waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for food. When it eventually arrived, the pizza was overcooked, had started to go cold and it was seemingly just a frozen pizza, no better than a one you'd pick up for 89p in Aldi. There was no oregano on the pizza. Asked for oregano and the waiter explained that they don't use oregano, despite it stating on the menu. The kids' Chicken was overcooked as well, to the point that it ended up all over the floor when it was cut into. It was a complete disaster from start to finish. We complained and got our money back. We ended up going to a local McDonald's, which was lovely

Standards have certainly drastically gone down since my last visit. Food is in paltry portions, very greasy & nothing to write home about. The waitress who bought our meals to our table asked if we would like any sauces, when we said yes she appeared to be taken aback that she had to go to get some. When she returned with them she was clearly not happy. For the price we paid I assumed that I would feel like I'd enjoyed my meal but I didn't. Lastly there was no toilet paper in the ladies toilet cubicle. The manager clearly needs to take a step back & have a good look at how the customer feels. Disappointed to say the least.

I have been to other similar 'branded' restaurants and chose Brewers Fayre because I thought I knew what to expect. We booked for 7pm and were shown to our table and told we could order drinks at the bar. Went to the bar - 1 person serving and a long wait. Back at the table we sat waiting for someone to take our order 45 minutes later asked a member of staff if we had to order food at the bar -YES!!! we had NOT been told to do this. Another long wait at the bar, ordered food at 8.50pm. Starter arrived at 8.20. Cheesy garlic bread which was good, mushrooms with dip - well what can I say... there were about 9 overcooked mushrooms (coating was burnt) and a dip - plate that meal was served on was too big for the measly serving of food and there was no 'garnish' of salad - £4.95?? very disappointing. Main meal arrived at 9.15. Horrible presentation of food. I had the smothered platter - chips were small and overcooked, the coated chicken was burnt, the gammon and steak were tiny but OK as were the onion rings. The egg was undercooked and 'snotty', cheese was barely melted and the fried food looked as if it had been cooked in oil that had been used all night (lots of charred black bits all over the food, I could barely see any coleslaw and the dip was unpleasant to top it all off I found a hair in the food- the portion size of the meal was very mean and overall not worth £14 also could not possibly be 1400 caleries as stated!!. My guest had the Large Yorkie - very stodgy and tough to cut - clearly had been cooked and reheated, tiny portion of mash and too many peas. We didn't bother to order dessert as planned as I had no doubt that would have been another long wait for ice cream and I needed to get to bed at some point!! Left at 9.45pm. So disappointed as this was supposed to be a special treat to celebrate my...

Went to Burton House Boston and until today everything has been fine. Because the Sunday carvery has been excellent for 2 of us we decided to take our son and his family for lunch so decided to book as it was for 5 of us, I made a point of asking for a round table in the quiet area of the restaurant at the same time advising that one of our party was gluten free and would it be possible for some gluten free yorkshire pudding, I had to ask! I had an email confirmation of my booking although not the gluten free request, I called the restaurant concerning this. When my partner and I arrived we were told that the table requested was not available, when I challenged this I was told they NEVER guarantee a table, although there were tables with 'reserved' signs on them! I then said I'd go somewhere else to be met by 'well that's your choice' no apology, nothing! If it weren't for the fact that we were waiting for my son I would, most certainly, have left! In the end, they sat us in the bar at a round table, not set up, no menus, knives, forks or cruet set. I asked for some salt and pepper to be given a handful of sachets of each! On getting our carvery our gluten free diner spoke to the chef who assured her that she was safe eating the Yorkshire pudding and the gravy, which she was most concerned about and she ended up having meat and vegetables together with Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Having nearly completed her meal she became very unwell and we were all of the opinion it had to be either the Yorkshire or the gravy! With this, we all had to leave This experience has spoilt our recommendation to our family and left my daughter-in-law very poorly due to misinformation! This has now detered us from visiting this establishment in the future! Not a...
