Well, what a change since last time we visited.. Not for the better, unfortunately. The food was ok, not the best I've had. The sticky toffee pudding was terrible, tastless, the toffee sauce was like water, and you could tell it had just been reheated in the good old microwave! It was that bad I left it, and that's a 1st for me where puddings are concerned!. The lovely lady who came to clear up noticed that the pudding was left and asked if all was OK, to which I explained what was wrong with it, and to my surprise, she agreed with everything I said, even the bit about it been reheated in the microwave. I'm sorry, but would you pay nearly £7 for a pudding like that?. Also, what was the chef thinking that sending a pudding out like that was acceptable?. The lady in charge took the pudding off the bill, which was very kind of her. Now, would I go again? No. There are better places to eat for the price, their charging, and much better food, too. Sorry if this upsets anyone, but it's my honest opinion. 🙂

Excellent tasy food , great homebrewed beer all served by friendly staff in a lovely relaxing setting with a stunning beer garden. Tequila blonde is a favourite ale of mine 💙 😍

This is a lovely old pub serving some great food and beer. There is an onsite Microbrewery and the Ales are well produced and very tasty. On the day of the visit, a hog roast was available in the beer garden for £6.50, for a very generous serving of lunch. The building itself is a Grade II Listed Building standing within what was part of the Old East Riddlesden Hall Estate, The Airedale Heifer is a Former Barn evidence of which you can still see today, in the L Shaped Building and Thick Wooden Beams. The pub is named after the famous Airedale Heifer cow of the early 1800s which resided on the nearby East Riddlesden Hall Estate , The Cow is still on record as the heaviest cow in the UK it was said to have been 3.5 metres (over 11 feet) long and weighed more than a ton

We called at the weekend to ask about take-away for my birthday on Tuesday. We even called back a second time to check with a manager that they could do this. They said yes, twice!

We call on Tuesday, requesting the order to be ready for 7pm. Person says, we can't do take-away on Tuesdays. We said the manager told us over the weekend it was fine. We specified again, this was for a birthday. That if anything was to go wrong tell us well in advance.

We arrive at 7 to pick up the order. Nothing is there. They only started this at 7pm. Absolutely abysmal service and nothing to compensate for a very late order, on a birthday we made 3 attempts to ensure went smoothly. We only ordered 4 appetisers, 2 sides and a cold salad. These are the simple items on the menu.

Out of those menu items, we were missing the haloumi fries. We instead got two chicken starters? The Cajun fries were old, and whatever was supposed to occur to make them Cajun appears to be sprinkling some dust over top so that the taste of Cajun is about the same as the looking at photos of Louisiana while eating the fries in Keighley. i.e., isn't actually anything like Cajun. The cold salad was missing sunblushed tomatoes as per the menu item. We had no sauces or salad dressing as also per the menu. And most fried items smelled of fish so I suspect that they do not use separate oil or something. As I really dislike fish, this is a noticeable smell.

This was to add to my birthday dinner, which sat at home, waiting for the extra treats to complement it. It was a truly ruined meal due to the absolute abhorrent organisation of this restaurant.

I'll avoid this place from this point on. When a customer makes this many attempts to make it clear what was needed, asked, arranged and told them it was a special day that we didn't want to have messed about, it is really poor planning, service and management who cannot recognise this or realise the grave error on their part.

Before the food arrived home I called to complain, the manager on duty stated that she continually updated my husband. My husband, unprompted by me, said I had to keep asking about our food. So something isn't meshing with the story. And as I see that the manager prioritised people who walked in the door at 6.30, to someone who ordered at 2pm for 7pm for a BIRTHDAY, I'll go out on a limb and say the manager lacks accountability on multiple levels.

It is one thing to be poor at what you do, it is quite another to be poor at accepting responsibility, being accountable and ensuring you really remedy your errors and deep structural issues. As they functionally can't do any of this, is why I'll choose any - and I'd pick a fish restaurant and I hate fish -...

Today's visit was awful, the original girl who served us was lovely but the manager who brought our food litrally put in on table and left never asked if we needed anything further like drinks or sauce etc which we did! We were trying to get him back over multiple times and after asking someone else he just used the excuse he was busy which was a running theme! He was was rude and argumentative when we had been provided inedible food and he said we'd been told there was a long wait for food which we hadn't at any point!! Always used to recommend this place but today was that awful I started feeling ill on leaving and was very ill once I'd got home too so whatever I'd been served was definately not good! The chicken I had was so dry and solid I'd have needed a steak knife to cut it! Appeared to have been reheated multiple times or sat out on a hotplate for a long time! Wasn't freshly cooked at all! (Didn't eat it only had a bite!) Other family memebers had the Cow Pie and the meat was so solid it was like wood! And my partners burger was extreamly dry! The landlord was unfortunately having to take the brunt of the managers errors and I do feel sorry he was having to do that! Won't be going again in a hurry which is unfortunate as it used to be a fairly common place...

Terrible experience! Very slow service. We overheard neighbouring table saying the staff must have gone home! I had to find a staff to ask where our food were after waiting for nearly an hour. Prior to ordering, we were left waiting to be seen. When a staff eventually noticed us we ordered our drinks. We were left waiting again to order our food. When they got round to taking our orders we had to ask for another 5 minutes as my companion has alzheimers and has difficulty communicating. But that 5 minutes turned to 30 minutes as no staff came back. My friend and I were ready to walk out! Anyway, after making a complaint our food miraculously appeared. However, my food looked like it's been sitting inside an oven for ages. Polite that we were we felt obligated to eat. Then I found a strand of hair in my non appetising pie. When we came to pay, the manager accused me of putting my own the hair in my meal. When I refused to pay, he aggressively threw an object into the bin behind him. That's professionalism for you. Never again will I set foot in that place. Terrible food, terrible attitude and dingy...
