Quality of food was as expected but organisation and service could be better. Day 1 dinner: I ordered and sat back down at the table I'd reserved, and my dinner arrived, but no glass of wine. I was told I hadn't paid for it so I couldn't have it. But the waitress was just relaying what she'd been told and did bring it over in her second attemot. Then when I ordered desert, the manager said there was no record of my initial order, and that I can't have paid. I agreed and and said I had not been asked to pay, and that I assumed it would be added to my room bill. But we don't do that here, he said (restaurant linked to Premier Inn) – you must have set up a tab. No I didn't do that, I replied. By now I'm felling like I'm being told off! So explained that the ordering process was not anything I had control over. All very friendly, but even so, how could it be my responsibility? The manager then came back and said it was the mistake of the person taking my order and that everything had been sorted out. Great, thanks – see, that really was not my fault. The next morning, I had to ask for the porridge I ordered as it hadn't arrived after 25 minutes. I was told when it was served that the kitchen was having trouble getting it to thicken! Really? This is a long review but overall, the food was fine. I just think some effort needs to go into staff training and communication skills.

My husband and I have been several times but this time was just awful. There are plenty of other places to eat in Bingley. There was skeleton staff on. Despite me telephoning that I am in a wheelchair we had to wait for staff to come and take away a chair so that I could be seated at the table. I think this could've been done after my phone call and to me, it should've been done before we arrived. The place was extremely quiet with barely any diners in. It was not explained to us how the ordering system worked, that once we had chosen what we wanted we had to go up to the bar and order. Neither was it explained why there was no carvery available. The meals are not made from scratch but ordered in frozen. I found this out as I have have an unusual allergy and it had to be read from the ingredients on the frozen packet. Getting to the food, we had a sharing platter, looked fabulous on menu but in reality it was really overcooked. The breaded mushrooms made a large cracking sound when you tried to pick up with a fork. My husbands mushroom flew off the table. The whole starter was completely overcooked. I mentioned to a member of a staff and I don't know if she didn't hear me but she just shrugged her shoulders. We asked if the overcooked meal could be put in a take home bag or box so that we could take overcooked food home for dogs. There wasn't either available so we had it wrapped in clingfilm. I then had a flatbread with sweet potato fries. The flatbread was very hard round the edges and inedible. The sweet potatoe fries looked overcooked but were soft in the middle and tasteless. I left mine. Husband had mixed grill with steak to be cooked rare, it was well done. His fries were tasteless and were left behind. The sausages we wrapped up for our dogs. As we were still hungry we ordered profiteroles to share. There were six in the dish and the choux pastry was not like a normal choux. It did not have any layers and was tasteless. I am a dessert kind of woman but I gave mine to my husband who ate them, as he was hungry. I would say that this was the worst meal out we have ever had. Also, when i went to the bar to order another drink and i had to go loiking for a member of staff. We will not be returning. To be honest, I would not recommend The...

We came tonight and honestly it’ll be the last time we go. Was told about the wait of 45 mins which we didn’t mind as two of us work in restaurants and understand fully what we wasn’t happy about was the very little food they did have again working in a restaurant we understand that there is supplier issues but being handed a sheet that states that some food is limited then trying to order said food to be told it’s now not available isn’t great. Having to go to the bar and order your food and drinks again isn’t great customer service. Being a fussy eater I ordered the chicken ‘strips’ because that’s what they are but I received them and they were burnt, the bbq dip had a layer/film on the top of them indicating they’d been sat for some time under a hot light or hot hold, still the waitress brought them out and worse the “chef” allowed them to be sent out. The burger a friend ordered was missing coleslaw and other bits. We also waited much more than 45 mins as I know we ordered at 19:19 and didn’t receive any food until one and a half hours later which is ridiculous to say the least, it wasn’t busy. After asking for my chicken to be replaced as it was inedible we waited a further 30 something mins and still no sign of the replacement which at this point the other three members had eaten their meals we decided to ask for a refund for the chicken and left. No one came over to inform us why we were waiting longer than the 45 mins or how long we would be waiting after that point. The manager seemed unbothered and didn’t apologies. We could over hear another table complaining about the wait and again the manager just gave reasons like covid being the problem at hand yet the kitchen was full of chefs, the bar full of waiters and not that many customers so I’m really at a loss of why covid was to blame especially when seeing the other reviews. This is the second time we’ve had poor service, burnt food and limited menu choice as we came for a celebration before Christmas and again we left unhappy but thought we would book a table tonight to give the place a second chance as it could have been a one off but I can see now that it wasn’t and...

Went for a meal yesterday mid afternoon waited about 10 minutes before being seated,we had pre booked the manager who showed us to our table didn't smile or use please or thank you, was told there wasn't any pasta or pizza before we sat down, when ordering the grandchildren wanted nachos starters but we were told they didn't have any and hadn't had any for days so we got them garlic bread when that came it was a flatbread spread with garlic butter and the bread was doughy and seemed under cooked the kids wouldn't eat it, my grandson ordered sausage and mash with beans and gravy he received sausage and chips when we asked why we were told we must of ordered chips which we certainly didn't they then brought him a bowl of mash and gravy, the wife and I both ordered ploughman's lunch me with cheese and her with ham when we got it there looked to be a bag and a half of lettuce on each plate 2 pickled onions cut in half and 3 cherry tomatoes cut in half and 3 baton pieces of cucumber and some onion chutney and a slice of dry bread cut in half she had about 3 slices of ham folded and put on her plate I had about half a block of cheese cut up when we ask where our bread bun was he said they didn't have any so you've got a slice of bread then we asked him where the plain crisps were he said do you want them? Of course we do we've paid for them so he brought 2 packets of crisps from behind the bar and plonked them on the table he then asked if he could get us anything else? Yes please some salad cream. He answered sorry we don't have any left UNBELIEVABLE by this time I was waiting for Ant and Dec to jump out and surprise us. I don't think we will be returning...
