It's rare that I feel the need to give a 1 star review, but if I could give this place a zero, then I would. I went to the drive-through at 6 pm yesterday and ordered a quarter pounder deluxe and chicken selects for myself and a happy meal for my son. The happy meal was passable, but when I opened my burger, I was horrified to see what looked like a bite mark was missing out of the beef patty at first glance. Even if this wasn't a bite and it had been snapped off, this is still totally unacceptable to send out as a £7 plus product. It was full of too many sloppy sauces, looked soggy, and had a real mess. I tasted a little bit of the beef, and it was over salted and was stone cold, totally inedible, and went in the bin! The chicken selects were flat cold and dry. The fries were also flat cold. My son's happy meal was just about lukewarm but passable. This was peak time, and I had to wait in a bay for my order, so it should have been cooked fresh. What a total waste of money. I have contacted customer services, but I am still waiting for a response. I also spoke to the store and was told that there was no way it could have been a bite mark and take take it back up but I could not do this as I had to get my son to bed. I would expect better food from a 2 oclock in the morning takeaway and this has probably put me off mcdonalds for life. Be weary when you visit the Five Lane ends store it seems to have turned into a right shambles with no...
Read moreWe don’t use McDonald’s very often, maybe once every couple of weeks as a treat for the kids. Every time we go to this McDonald’s in particular there is always something wrong especially at the drive through. We waited 25 minutes for 2 chicken nugget happy meals at 6pm. I could understand waiting if we had a large or complicated order but this was very standard with no amendments or extras. During this 25 minutes we sat and watched as they asked us to park in the second window and noticed they were parking every drive through customer. I counted 6 people getting out of their cars to go into the restaurant as the order was wrong or missing items. The car park did not have enough spaces to be parking this amount of people. When the lady walked around to our car despite being parked at a window I asked why everyone was being parked and why we had to wait so long for just 2 happy meals. The response I got was “check your order because I don’t know if it’s right” which was laughable she had the receipt in her hand. Now I’m not sure if this a new process this management team are trialing or if they are just simply too busy servicing online orders but it’s so frustrating every time we go. I’m sure more people are feeling the same as this used to be a good McDonald’s. Most of the time to staff don’t even speak to you...
Read moreAVOID!! Always food missing from order or mistakes like 3 chicken selects when you paid for 5. Last time chips were soft like not cooked properly and were blathered in salt… today I try to make my child happy with a ‘happy meal’, whilst going through drive through there is a table of 4 people (3 workers 1 actually in uniform) all 4 fully grown adults decide to stare and laugh at my highly sensitive 8year old. Fully grown adults laughing at a child for no reason what so ever!! I confronted the guy to ask what his problem was. Manager (guy with sling on arm which could void their employee liability insurance) he thought he was clever telling me it was just my perception, other cars in the que ALSO said no he is laughing at a kid!! Hope the pair of you still laugh and feel as clever once I speak to head office in morning, telling me what time it is 😂 last time I got attitude from staff here, the head office made you apologise… Head office were fuming you lost milkshake sale… can’t wait to see what they think of an innocent childs happy meal experience… never again will I give that...
