Classic greasy spoon cafe, and doesn’t pretend to be much else. The food was good and the staff attentive, so just what I needed in this respect, but the place is in desperate need of some renovation and decoration. The tables and other furniture were tired and didn’t look particularly clean. And the flush in the male toilet was a cable tie attached to the cistern (and didn’t work particularly well).
The car park is spacious, but has a mix of gravel and an uneven surface. It does what it needs to, but take care if arriving on a motorcycle.
I enjoyed the food overall and the portions were generous (I had Special 2 - a slightly smaller full English than the first option). If you’re in the market for a fry up, this’ll do you, but you may find better if you look slightly...

We had the special 2 menue with two eggs, two slices of bacon, one saussage, beans and a hash brown. Four slices of bread and one coffee and one hot chocolate. It was all very good, hot and enough. The only thing was that the bread could have been toasted. The ladies in the service were very friendly and helpfull with the expressions we didn't know. From the outside it is not very inviting and it was a bit cold for us inside.
But we will have it in our minds for further journeys and will...
