Simple Shawarma — Restaurant in Bristol

I recently visited Simple Shawarma and ordered the mixed shawarma with rice, chips, and naan bread, and I have to say, it was an absolutely fantastic meal from start to finish.

The mixed shawarma itself was packed with flavour—beautifully seasoned, tender, and juicy. It paired perfectly with the warm, freshly made naan bread, which was soft with just the right amount of chewiness. The chips were crisp and golden, not greasy at all, and the rice was light, fluffy, and cooked to perfection. Everything came together even better with a generous drizzle of their chilli and garlic mayo sauces, which added just the right kick and creaminess.

I was also really impressed with the salad selection. There were loads of fresh options to choose from—everything looked vibrant and clean, and most importantly, it all tasted super fresh. It's clear they take pride in using quality ingredients.

On top of the delicious food, the prices were very reasonable. For the portion size and quality, I felt like I got amazing value for money. The staff were another highlight—friendly, efficient, and clearly know what they’re doing. They handled everything with professionalism and made sure every customer was looked after.

I went to this place for the first time. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the owners who seemed to be in a weird mood. I ordered a mixed wrap which consisted of chicken and lamb. When the server went make it, he initially thought it was just chicken which I then I had to confirm I had ordered a mixed wrap. He placed some chicken back and then proceeded to put some scraps of lamb that was left on the meat tray. When I asked ‘was that all the lamb I was recieving’ he pulled a face and said yes as if I was asking a silly question. I asked for more and they said it was an extra charge. The two owners then spoke back and forth to each other in their own language which didn’t sound pleasant and then gave me the wrap very abruptly and gave me dirty look when I exited the shop. Disappointed Loved this place, I went often! As the food was great, tasted fresh and customer service was always good. Even gave them 5 stars, but I've changed it.

Ordered 2 mixed Shawarma boxes, a wrap, and a box of chips. The service wasn't the best. it was uncomfortable to ask for sauces, which they were very sparing with.

Walking back to my car, I opened the chips (£3.50 a portion). I was shocked to find a handful of cold fries. It's not worth the price!!

The Shawarma wrap was lovely. The boxes seemed to taste different, but I couldn't figure out why. Sadly, I'm not planning any more visits.
