A shambles with poor attitude.

Checked in for our reservation and the table was just pointed at rather than escorted there. Another server then came over to check who we were.

Drinks and food order taken - drinks didn’t arrive so I ordered at the bar. 45 minutes later and no sign of any food and not even checked on by anybody. Finally we flagged a manager down who explained there’s a wait on the food and isn’t sure how long it will be. She offered me a drink which I ordered.

This drink never arrived so again I went to the bar.

Two tables of four who were seated after us then got their meals. I believe our order wasn’t even put through or was forgotten and we were just lied to.

About an hour and 15 minutes after our order was ā€˜taken’ we finally got two roast dinners.

No apology for the wait.

Didn’t bother with deserts. Asked for the bill. That came quickly enough with a service charge added to the bill. No drinks taken of the bill which was offered. I do hope the service charge we paid goes to the bar man who was the only saving grace to the team.

Food was good but really seriously let down by the service. Mistakes happen in the industry but avoiding them with your guests is...

Was recommended to come here and was highly disappointed with the majority of us having a frosty service from the three bar women.

When we first arrived, my friend asked if they did espresso martini and the older blonde woman replied with "This is a pub, love". I mean... even if you didn't do cocktails, why the snappy comeback? Plus some pubs do espresso martinis.

My prosecco glass I realised after I sat down had pink lipstick on it. I brought it back to the bar to let them know and all 3 women just looked at me in disgust?? I pointed at it and with no words, the woman just took it off me and poured it into a new glass which is quite gross when you think about it - she probably poured it on the side with the lipstick cause she really couldn't give a f.

I ordered another prosecco later at the bar... and received a warm glass with.. of course, the same glass with lipstick on. I then mentioned it straight away and ONCE AGAIN, she just poured the prosecco into another glass. A nice warm freshly washed lipstick filled glass of prosecco. Then mentioned "Think we should throw this glass away".

Definitely never coming back here and highly do not recommend unless you love the...

First visit here on Sunday, was booked in for Sunday lunch but ended up arriving an hour early. The staff were really accommodating and didn’t make us feel like we were an inconvenience for turning up so early.

We sat at the bar and had some drinks and tried to do the crossword that they had copies of. Terrible at crosswords, but really liked they’d thought of putting something like that out.

Anyway fast forward to the roast dinner, I had pork and my partner had lamb. The meat was so tasty and so well cooked. A really decent amount of gravy which is something I always need with a roast. The roast potatoes were some of the better I have had with a pub roast. Overall the food was a solid 7.5/10

The staff were all really lovely and gave us recommendations when it came to the food which I always appreciate.

The pub itself is just the right size with the right amount of atmosphere and goings on so will definitely be returning - especially for ribs &...

This lovely pub is just off the main Redland Road and due to the nature of the area parking can be a bit of an issue. A traditional corner pub with a lovely Victorian style exterior and toilets with stain glassed panels on door Found the pub to be very clean & tidy and the staff extremely friendly. A excellent pint of 9pm from the Bristol Beer Factory Brewery was on draught. There is a quite an extensive menu and very reasonably priced. The Ribs and Roasted Cauliflower Salad were excellent and service was quick. Will definitely return when in the area.

Id really give this a 4.5 overall, Had a Sunday roast here which overall was solid, the potatoes were not great however but a good amount of gravy and the meat (pork and lamb) and veg were tasty. The cauli cheese promised alot but lacked a bit of flavour. Service was spot on, our server for the food was attentive and gave us honest recommendations. For the first time coming here thought the pub itself was really lovely and well thought out.

Nice neighbourhood pub with a beer garden, good selection of beers. Update Apr 23 Sunday roast was excellent, with nice pint of Butcombe and glass of Malbec, also had the vegan cauliflower buffalo bites, quite busy but they managed to find us a table with no booking, would be even better if they stocked some newer IPAs - at the moment just gamma ray and neck oil - plenty to choose from in Bristol - Arbor, New Bristol Brewery..
