I'll start by saying we've been here plenty of times before, it's always been what you expect. Good value for money, decent enough grub and ok service, I don't expect a fine dining experience for £10-£15, but what I do expect is not to be spoken to like I was. We were welcomed and shown to our table, asked if we'd like a highchair for our one year old, which we did. The member of staff placed it at the end of the table (well booth) and proceeded to look at the menu. Just as we were about to go and order, a female member of staff came and very rudely and aggressively told us the highchair wasn't allowed there and we should have read the sign (a rather awkwardly placed sign we hadn't noticed that said no chair or buggies were to be placed at the end of the table). We informed her it had been placed there by the other member of staff, she then said it didn't matter and it was our fault as we should have read the sign. With nowhere else to put the highchair we again explained this was the table we had been given and the highchair wasn't put there by us, she stepped of swearing under her voice about us as she did so. We quickly explained the situation to another member of staff (possibly the manager) who did apologise and offered to move us. By this point I actually wanted to leave, but with 3 hungry children and little other local options, my wife persuaded me to stay. The food was then the worst we've had there. Most of it was cold, the "jug" of Katsu sauce was nothing more than a tiny pot and overall it seemed lacking in even the most basic of quality or care. I think they were actually massively understaffed for such a peak time during school holidays. We are what we could, and quickly left, unfortunately never to return again after that.

Absolutely disgusted. Where to start, dirty glasses had to send our drinks back twice before getting a clean glass… then the food arrived. It was just atrocious our childrens food was inedible. The pasta was like rubber, clearly microwaved or left under a hot plate for far too long- the pasta on the menu states rigatoni pasta served in a tomato sauce, well lets just say that it is pasta & a jug of sauce which is the amount of a drizzle. The half chicken legs (we ordered two meals of this) both dry and laying on a bed of vegetables that were soggy. Dont even get me started on the jerk chicken & ribs. No flavour and dry. Only 1 meal that was edible. Left with 2 hungry children & 4 angry adults. £70 down the drain. Will definitely not be going back… Then theres the fact I have a type 1 diabetic child who needs insulin for his meals & there was NO nutritional information & no staff could help find this information. On the bright side the can cook chips.

A friend of mine and I were just there, we had ordered at the same time, had the same thing, the fish and chips, his came first and 15 minutes later mine came out. Also ordered the ultimate big combo to take away, as you can see in the picture, it's not much of a ultimate combo 😒 the manager defended it by saying all the portions are preset by the company and it is what it is....I don't see all that was listed on the menu in that pile that was haphazardly wrapped in tin foil ( they do not have take away boxes, everything was wrapped in tin foil, including the fish and chips and my hot wings appetizer that had come out late, didnt feel like making my friend wait after he had finished his meal while I was waiting for my meal to come out, asked for it to be packed for take away), horrible service, not once did the server apologize for the delay, the manager was not at all sympathetic. Will not recommend this place ( Norwich location)

Fieldfare norwich what a mistake booking up for me and the wife for Xmas day......and we're booked up with the family for new years day too. Short staffed and not even half full so they weren't that busy. Heard everyone complaining about waiting times, heard manager say to table next to me pc crashed so had to retake their order. I spent nearly £200 up front for both days meals. Our experience became so laughable for the amount of errors that we made a list!!! - which is gave to team leader. 30min wait from being seated to starter which was only a third full restaurant. Starter - Wives prawn starter had lettuce sitting on plate, no bread and butter underneath. My ham hock had no chutney and little butter, asked for more as pre warned when booked I have a throat condition-20min wait for butter- asked twice. So I ate on my own as wife had finished. Main course - wifes beans and potatoes nearly raw.... looked like the prawn were the same still flesh colour inside. Bearing in mind I booked with a throat condition. Ordered a rare steak that was med to well done - 20mins to replace so ate on my own again. Sweet - suley they couldn't go wrong with a frozen dessert, put on a plate and serve it? The sweet was still frozen the cherry's solid. Chill hit my bad tooth so could eat anymore. Each course had to get up and ask for cutlery as not served when brought to table. Not a team leader or manager asking if every thing was all right. Just one young barmaid trying to everything and coming up to see if your happy - she should be team leader, the only one that cared. Spoke to debhan team leader on way out and said I hope it's better and your staffed when we visit new years day with the family. Yours, a very un-happy...

As someone with intolerances, it always limits what I can or cannot have. I chose chicken skewers with a jacket potato and a garden salad and asked to make sure there will be no dairy also so when I placed my order with the man at the desk, he made sure to make a note so there was no butter coming out with the jacket potato. The salad come out with a dressing on it and I asked a waiter if she could double chuck the ingredients list on the salad dressing because even with the smallest of wheat or dairy could make me very poorly. She was not very helpful and said to look on her ipad and basically couldn't care less! My plate also come out with butter on it even though the note was placed upon me ordering. The chicken skewers where jelly in texture so I therefore pulled another waiter to a side and asked him to take it back. By this time I had lost my appetite and therefore I had to get a full refund for my meal. I think the manager was the person whom brought my refund over only to be informed by himself that the chicken skewers are brought in pre cooked which didn't sit right with me. Overall, one of the worst lunches I have had out being that I am very scared of eating out as it with with being both dairy and wheat intolerant. I felt that I wasn't taken seriously and overall, I will not be returning! Ruined thr best morning we had previously to this by such a shocking meal. If I could give lower for food, I would! And as for service, apart from the man whom took our order, one of the servers and the manager, the rest wasn't very approachable and didn't give a hoot when you queried something before moving on with the meal! Since getting home I have been poorly and therefore I will not...
