The food was great although it took over an hour and we were the only people in the place. Weird.

Tiffany was too young to serve alcohol so our trip to a PUB was a dry one. We would have spent an outrageous amount on gin. It wasn't Tiff's fault, she went to ask the manager in the back and he evidently couldn't find the energy to make money for his business by coming to serve us himself. Bless. I hope he's not too unwell.

Bizarrely, considering the managers very relaxed approach to generating income, all the electrics inside were turned off. No lights. No music. Absolutely no atmosphere (heaven forbid). We resulted in playing youtube videos of the Olympics on our phones.

Tiff, having been rushed off her feet serving a whole two people, ended the evening by asking us whether or not we had paid maybe 5 minutes after we paid... I assume she'd been hitting the soft drinks a bit too hard.

One of the nicer parts was when we sat next to a defunct umbrella and assorted crap all over the floor in the outside searing...

We made a trip out of our way to visit this 4.7 star pub looking forward to a nice drink and a good meal. In all honesty I was somewhat confused when I arrived, seemed to be just a local’s drinkers pub. Never the less we gave it the benefit of the doubt and ordered dinner at around 6:30, staff are very friendly and helpful. So, then it all got a bit confusing, 5 mins after ordering we was told they had ran out of peas…. How on earth can this happen and if it does why would you not just pop to the local shop and buy some?? OK so we settled for beans for my son’s dinner. Then my Thai green curry arrived with PEAS??? Tasted OK but nothing special, clearly this was precooked and microwaved or brought in and not cooked in house at all. Not impressed and won’t be visiting again, No frozen peas? No excuse!!! ...

Best pub in town. If you’re visiting in low season check their opening hours. We rolled up on a Wednesday night about 5 minutes before they were due to close. Despite this we received a warm welcome and efficient service. There is a nice bar with plenty of seating in different rooms which gives a warmer feel to the place. Best choice and condition of Ales, well kept and well served. Just sorry we didn’t get to visit again during our short...
