We got recommended by one of my friends to go here when they was open in cliviger, but then they moved. So after using sycamore and the thatch and thistle and was disappointed by both we came here as we found out they moved on to dugdale Road burnley. We asked for a quiet corner the guy was more than polite and helpful. Within 2 minutes of sitting down we got asked would we like to order ,so we order 2x full English breakfast. The quality of the food was up there with some of the best we have had in the past. The sausage is key for me and they do a banging sausage. The eggs was cooked to perfection how I like them not grizzly or under cooked just spot on, the bacon was nice and thick and the mushrooms was fresh not tinned like most places. We will be making this our spot from now on although for that to happen we need to lose a little waight because I can seriously see myself getting some extra pounds in at this place as the food is lovely the place is clean and well set out the staff are well presented and well mannered. So if I could give 10 stars I would honestly if you haven't been you must go. You can keep your weatherspoon breakfast and your hungry horse microwave meals this place is sooooooo good...

My partner and I visited JJ’s Diner and were shocked by the staff’s behaviour. When we first arrived, we were standing at the reception and were seen by staff, but had to wait several minutes. Later, the bar staff saw us still waiting and just shouted across the room instead of acknowledging us.

Once we got started, a woman behind the bar carelessly threw ice, which hit my partner. Another staff member on the phone came to pick up some of it but accidentally elbowed my partner in the leg. A customer had to clean up the remaining ice because the staff didn’t take responsibility.

A few weeks later, we gave the place another chance, but the same issue happened — no service at reception even after being seen. At this point, it’s clear this place has had enough chances. I emailed management and was only told “I’ll speak to the staff, it won’t happen again.”

Having managed cafes myself, I know this is completely unacceptable. Ice should never be thrown near a customer, and staff should take responsibility for incidents immediately. This place is unprofessional, careless, and unsafe. I wouldn’t recommend JJ’s Diner until staff behaviour and basic customer service are...

Have you heard the expression ... doesn't matter how much glitter you sprinkle on it ..it's never gonna change what it is ?? Had better service in a truckers cafe felt more welcome too .. handed wrong drinks ,no knives and forks ,no condiments, Breakfast (Hearty) apparently ,check the menu for expensive extras too, food was warm not piping hot ,clearly if you're a regular you get lots of attention if you're new seemingly you're perfect bait for frankly the most unwelcoming server who struggles to convince me that they want to be there anyway.. I stopped going to the old place due to poor sloppy uninspiring service and substandard food, I went back today and won't be coming back.nothing has changed and I have nothing to really recommend or compliment this place on . If you want a proper breakfast ,good service and enthusiastic serving staff get yourself to the Wagoners where I guarantee you'll have a very good experience with quality local food at a price that fits...

A few people reccomended this to me on Facebook and it was well worth the visit. The carpark was packed which is always a good sign. There were two groups in front of me waiting to be seated but within minutes we'd all been showed to out tables. The waitress was really friendly and my order was soon taken. There's a great selection on the menu, I went for The larger of the two Full English Breakfast options with no egg (it's a medical condition) but with added Black Pudding and mushrooms, and a pot of tea rather than a mug. All the food was hot, well cooked and good quality. Despite the place being really busy with a bustling atmosphere no one seemed rushed, everyone obviously knew what they were doing and did it well. When I had obviously finished I was even asked if I wanted an other brew, rather than being rushed out to free up the table. It's reasonably priced for an excellent breakfast. I will be going back.

What a superb place! Wide range of excellent breakfast and brunch foods served promptly and fresh by busy but cheerful staff. We arrived shortly after 1000 on a Sunday and the place was already hopping. During the next half hour we were sat, chose our meals, were served almost immediately and thoroughly enjoyed the fresh and test meals. We weren't rushed at all but served efficiently and in a friendly manner and despite being there only just over half an our we felt we had enjoyed a relaxing breakfast. A few notes; you can take longer if you wish, we were en route to a dog walk so were quite happy to pass through. The place was full by the time we left at 1030 so I wouldn't leave your visit too late. There are inside pages to the menu as well as the main breakfast front page. Also, cash only.

Always brilliant. The food is excellent, and not just what you expect from a breakfast cafe. It is far more than beans and egg. JJ's puts the homely in home cooked food. There is always plenty, and it is always good. The staff are all wonderful, if you come in enough they really do know your name. Be aware at busy times on weekends you will have to wait for a table and the food is cooked to order, with that said it is always worth the wait. Take your time. This is not a hidden gem, but it is a well known and popular gem.
