Rosegrove Chippy — Restaurant in Burnley

Closed when times on sign say it should be open. Its not open long anyway, but 10min b4 closing n all lights off n clearly not just missed it. Annoying, wont go out my way again to somewhere that might or might not be open.

Nice snarky reply - like most ppl if i want to check if somethings open i google it. U didnt change ur hours on ur biz google details which takes about 60 seconds to do. Also the person who recommended u still actually said the mushy peas were " like marbles" and " i dont think he knew how to cook mushy peas" . So you see my 2 stars is actually quite restrained considering. U could have said oh sorry, we didnt think or missed updating our opening hours on somewhere people still use like google. Must be frustrating having a wasted journey, sorry for the disappointment but please give us a try in the future and im sure our food could win you round to giving us a better score--- see respectful professional customer service isnt rocket...

first time using chippy today, only because there is usually a fair sized queue but that tells you it's good food.. friendly place and they knew most customers by 1st name and both fellas made sure to acknowledge me as well, and both wished me a great weekend as I was leaving! Good choice of food and happy to see they're still doing mini-mix trays for those of us that don't want a big meal, food was definitely the best I have had in a long time and curry sauce was seriously good! anyway this is my go to chippy from now on, also happy they do steak puddings with...

Super Fish supper, new to area and first time customers, called ahead as roads were bad , roadworks and snow etc, they took order and reassured us not to panic due to closing time, lovely friendly welcome and chat, it wasn't until we got home we realised there was some extra free bonus food on top (as they were closing and didn't want to bin it), food was superb, sooo good neither of us took a photo of our delicious fish and chips, highly recommend ( lunch tomorrow with the free bonus bits) and will definitely return.
