Weekday date night with my Wife. Her choice of venue, my turn to pay. Lots of building work going on since our last visit. The Lounge was just the same. It was packed and we ended up on a table by the door to the outside. Slightly confusingly we got two menus because it was a Thursday. One was a £25 two course plus 1/2 bottle of wine fixed price one and the other was indidual items. Pretty much identical content. Em had the fixed price I was driving so I didn't. Waitress we had was lovely, there was one woopsie when someone dropped a plate of food on a guest. There was a slight drop in the sound levels for just a moment. You can tell the waitresses were all young because it took quite a few minutes before the staff mustered to sort it out. The food was great. I don't get fish pie often, as no one but me likes it. The veggies it came with were great, and the fish pie was too...if too hot to eat for 10 minutes. It came in a little steel bathtub of a container...which I'm surprised hadn't melted. My wife had the soft shell tacos, beef I think. Which looked lovely. Sound levels are well damped, even though it was packed. The only downside was the door into winter... sorry I mean the patio. They kep eaving it open as they were clearing tables outside. It was like sitting in a wind tunnel. I am not sensitive to cold but the wind was freezing. Brrr. Burnley in Summer. Otherwise it would have been a 5.

Went for a birthday treat for our mum as a party of 8. We got the menus sat at our table & it was ages before they came & asked us if we were ready to order. As we were ordering drinks at the same time it was a while before we had a drink. The food was lovely & plentiful. I got the chicken Caesar salad & the pieces of chicken were huge. A few people had the tacos, one person had the fish & chips & a couple had the burgers everyone enjoyed their meals. It was a while before they moved our plates, but we said on the plus side at least they are not rushing you out of the door.

I have been to several lounges and the service has always been great up until I visited the one in Burnley.

We arrived at around 7pm and it was quiet (as usual). When a waitress came to sit us down we requested to sit anywhere (just not the middle of the room). We were seated on a 5 seater table in the dark right next to the toy box (this felt intentional, as the waitress did not want us to sit on another table for 5).

The same waitress served our drinks. She was rude and slammed the drinks down. The food wasn’t up to standard (it was missing 2 main ingredients) and the service was nothing like usual.

I did not get this waitresses details but I would like the manager to know that this was my worst experience of a lounge franchise so far.

Go anywhere but Burnley to avoid...
