So yesterday me and my Wife headed out for lunch and we randomly decided to try Croma as we had never been before but we have long known about the great reputation that Croma has.
So we arrived and parked for free on the small car park in front of the restaurant, We walked into the restaurant and we were warmly greeted by a waitress who took is to a table, we hadn't booked but luckily the restaurant was busy but plenty of tables were available.
After a few minutes the waitress returned and took our drink orders I ordered a large bottle of Peroni(Italian Lager) as they don't have any beers on draught and my Wife opted for a glass of red wine, Drinks came and were well served and went down a treat.
A few minutes later the waitress came back to take our food order, To start my Wife ordered king prawns and I opted for bruschetta and for mains i opted for bolognese ragu and my wine opted for chicken pasta dish and to share we ordered a Garlic Cheese bread to share.
My Wife really, really enjoyed her king prawns and my bruschetta was amazing so fresh and fragrant and the chopped Tomatos with the the onion and garlic were the perfect combination.
Several minutes later our table had been cleared and our Mains arrived again food was hot, well presented and tasted absolutely delicious, My Wife really enjoyed her Chicken pasta dish and my Bolognese ragu was great the flavours went together so well, Generous portion and the cheesy garlic bread was amazing, Cooked to perfection.
We ordered another glass of red wine 🍷 and I ordered another large bottle of Peroni, We then had a Double Baileys over ice 🧊 each and settled our bill, Food and drink came to £99 and we gave a £15 tip.
The restaurant was spotlessly clean, Great selection of food across the board, Lovely setting, Polite and friendly staff, Competitive prices, Fantastic service, Great selection of food and drink across the board, Food was amazing, the ambience was perfect and just a great experience all round.

Read moreMe and my son had lunch at Croma today and been very very disappointed. The starter (garlic bread with tomato) came really cold, we are sure that the chef forgot to add the tomato sauce and garlic at the beginning as the sauce was really cold and the garlic butter still solid on the top and the potato wedges were cold too. For the main one of us had the Nicoise salad , when ordering we were told they had no Tuna today, my son agreed on having haddock instead. Then they came back and told us they had no boild egg ( an egg can be boild in less than 5 minutes), again my son didn't mind, at the end the salad was served with three ingredients missing ( they didn't even add the dough balls too, which was part of the salad) as it's not in my son's nature to be fussy he didn't mention it while he was eating. When finished he said that" my salad didn't have the dough ball either " I mentioned it to two of the staff one of which I believe was the manager, to our surprise he started lecturing us with unreasonable excuses. No matter how much we tried to explain that what they served was neither a Nicoise salae nor a Haddock salad , as most of the ingredients were missing. The service was really bad and all he could tell us that we will be charged for Haddock salad (£10.25) and not £10.50 the price of Nicoise salad !!!!!!! Whereas in fact what they needed to do was to accept that they made a mistake and apologies. We will never go back to this place again which is a shame as it used to be our favourite restaurant...
Read moreWe have been visiting croma as a family for years and has been a favourite as something for everyone on the menu. Our last visit came to an unfortunate & disappointing end due to a very unpleasant & unprofessional member of staff who I presume to be the manager wrongly accusing my son & his partner of having under age sex in the toilet!!!! I've brought him up to have a little more class than that. The manager continued this conversation at our table with other customers close by. We were told we couldn't order anymore food & to leave. My son is a very quiet boy who doesn't like attention drawn to himself, in fact it had taken alot of courage to come out that evening as he rarely goes out so we left quietly to spare him any more humiliation. This situation was completely misunderstood & was so poorly handled by said staff member, I'm still in shock by his accusations towards two lovely young people & we had a younger sibling present too. I find it sad that teenagers can be the most judged & discrimated members of our society. Prior to this we had been enjoying our evening. The food & service by other staff members was lovely as usual. Well done on improving the ladies toilets they no longer have that unpleasant odour which has been there for years. My observation...
