The Railway & Naturalist — Restaurant in Bury

I called in here with my brother for a drink one Sunday afternoon but left after one drink because it was so noisy we couldn't even here ourselves speak. The noise wasn't from other customers but the tv where football was on and not even a big game - Scottish league match. I asked the young woman behind the bar would it be possible to have the volume turned down a little but she was quite rude and refused. So after one drink we decided to move on to The Forresters and Red Lion along with another customer who had also had enough. Won't be going back sorry as much better pubs...

Proper laid back atmosphere. The locals seemed really friendly, as did the bar staff. They have loads of good sized TVs dotted around so wherever you are sat you will see a screen. They didn't have commentary on because they say you can't satisfy everyone - some want horse racing, others football... so had music on, songs I heard for years. It looks like they have a DJ on Saturday evenings as they were setting up whilst we were in. Good Guiness on tap. Nice toilets too!! Will be in here again when next visiting mate...

Good pub has d j on some nights .good prices .not like these places that turn a shop into a bar .and then proceed to rip you off .have paid £5/6 pound more in them places for same drinks I order in the nats .I don't like to have the Mickey taken .so yep nats is good proper pub .good service .not allowed to stand at bar .which is great .get served easily .so if your ever in Prestwich and want proper pub where your not ripped off give...
