The best Sunday roast lunch in the Prestwich area? I think so! We came randomly as we were looking to walk in the forest nearby, and were hugely surprised by the quality of the lunch - for £28 it was three courses (we had halloumi fries for starter, turkey with stuffing, and a sundae for dessert) and it was excellent. The Sunday roast comes in a fun tapas style, and the sides were really really good, especially the rich cauliflower cheese and the crispy potatoes. The gravy with the turkey was also delicious. Everything we had was great, and so was the service. Well we'll worth a visit, and looking forward to trying the weekday menu at a later date. A real hidden gem for the Prestwich area.

Wonderful quiet pub close to a large country park. Great to stop off for a pint and bite to eat after a nice walk in the park.

Used to come here a lot back in the day and always enjoyed it. Came to eat with 4 friends not busy by any means. Ordered chicken paella without chorizo. It arrived 10 minutes after all my friends dishes with chorizo. After I had eaten half of it. Picking the chorizo out (nearly a full sausage in there)I found that the chicken in the bottom of the dish was uncooked and pink!!! So I ate no more. The lovely waitress took it back to the chef who said "apologies for the chorizo but the chicken isn't pink" It was it was that pink I would have had to use a knife to cut it, it was that rubbery. The chef said I should have sent it back for a full refund!!!! And do what wait another 20 minutes for a fresh batch!! Apparently they only have two burners in the kitchen so can't cook more than two dishes at a time???? Wont be going back again ever. Cant believe a 'chef' would dispute a customer's complaint when the evidence is there for all to see. It was obvious they had forgotten my meal and hurriedly put another undercooked...

We ate here on Mothers' Day. My daughters had booked and paid a deposit in advance, but never received the menu despite asking for it several times. When the seven of us arrived we were handed a menu which, tbh, was more expensive than they had expected - £18.95 for two courses. There was no offer of an alternative a la carte menu and no indication that one course only was an option, or the price for one course. We all therefore had two courses. When the bill arrived there was a £1 supplement for two courses! What's that about? £1 is perhaps not much in the scheme of things, but for a table of seven, buying plenty of drinks, not having received the menu in advance as requested, it felt a bit off. For some, a meal out is an expensive treat and it's important to know beforehand how much it's going to cost, which is why my young daughters asked for the menu in advance and why the lack of clarity on pricing took the edge of an otherwise very...

Pub is decent enough, although really lacking in ales. Staff friendly and nice. Dinner service finishes pretty early (8pm) so restaurant was emptying out at 7:00pm! Food was a mixed bag. Starters were forgettable and bland. The pate being the best one, but it was probably bought in. The sides like chips and mash were great, with the mash being the best thing we ate that night. We had a chilli which was kinda tasty but lacking in depth and forgettable. but our ribeye steaks were not good. They advertised 10oz which sounds ok, but it came flat like someone had tenderised it with a rolling pin. The steak tasted like a cheap rump or flat iron that had been flattened. Just disappointed really, I know they...
