The Corner — Restaurant in Calderdale

Good morning.

Last night your young waitress (don’t know her name but had brown hair/ blue jeans) was excellent. We had a table of 4 on side of restaurant. was in a rush to get out to get a taxi so didn’t get a chance to say Thankyou properly to her. We had a small mix up with starters (It was understandably very busy last night) however you stayed professional & sorted the situation efficiently & quickly under busy circumstances. You had a great smile/ sense of humour & brought a great vibe to the place. The food was excellent & you all done an excellent job. Not to mention that the quality of the food was excellent. We're so lucky to have this place on our doorstep! We have not only eaten here several times but have also had food to takeaway as well, as it does feel like a healthier takeaway option to the usual curry or Chinese! I tend to stick with the same dish, the chicken skewer, which is served with rice, salad, a dip, and freshly baked bread. The other half has mixed his meals up but usually has some kind of lamb dish. We all really enjoy the food, the atmosphere, the service and the cost! There is no alcohol licence at the moment, so you can take your own booze. Just eaten here tonight Wednesday 9th August 2023, had a cosy table for 2 in the window. Very nice atmosphere, staff very friendly, food was served within a reasonable time even though it was quite full, they have limited alcoholic drinks menu which they are honest about at the moment as they have recently just got the alcohol license, so they do allow bring your own alcoholic drinks and are happy to provide appropriate glasses and ice ( please don't take advantage of their kindness 🙈) food was authentic and fabulous, portion sizes were generous too, the bill was less than £60 for 2 people having 3 course and a couple of glasses of their wine. 5 stars, gets my recommendation.
