Read moreI can not recommend this place enough. I struggle eating out due to a dairy allergy but nothing was to much here. I was shown what on the menu I could have as all allergens were made available for me to check. Staff were brilliant and understanding being patient while I decided what to have as I actually had a choice. Food was fresh and as described. The atmosphere is great and ended up staying alot longer as they had entertainment on which brought a brilliant atmosphere in the pub. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. That being said, I have been using this pub for the last 20 years and have seen its highs and its lows. There is bingo twice a week, entertainment on Saturdays plus excellent food including breakfast and Sunday lunches. The landlady is very friendly and the regulars are very welcoming. A great place for students and retired alike whether it be too watch sports, play pool or just have a bit of banter, you can't go wrong...
