Unfussy, properly authentic Indian food on the edge of a housing estate outside of town. I had Mama's pepper chicken, which had a rich peppery heat and generous chunks of chicken that were perfectly cooked, soft, and succulent. The side of fried chicken 65 to share was dry, spicy, and an enjoyable contrast. Peshwari naan was thin, nicely cooked, and fresh. My partner had the paneer butter massala and thoroughly enjoyed it, with a deep tomato-based sauce that had a nice zing to it. Portion sizes are reasonable, not huge, and the prices are fair. There are some interesting drinks choices and a decent vegetarian range.
The little details elevated things - our son's popcorn chicken was terrific and, unusually, tasted properly homemade, rather than from a freezer bag. They even delivered hot plates to us and a room temperature one to our child. The ambience is nice and casual, with efficient but not overbearing table service. There were several diners at our next table who were British-Indian, reflecting the authenticity of the food. If we're back in the area, we'll absolutely return - it was the best curry I've...

Read moreSadly I didn't get any photos but will return another time so hopefully get some. Interesting menu and everything was so tasty. I'm not drinking alcohol at the minute, so I had a couple of cups of Chai, a very good one too, really rich a s highly spiced. I started with crispy okra. Okra is a first for me, enjoyable but probably won't have it again. Nothing wrong with it but just not for me. Hyderabad Biryani was tasty and the chicken fell off the bone, very good. Also had a Roti and desi salad. The fried green chilli was an exciting addition to a salad which I will actually add into my normal home menu. Finished with Kulfi which was sweet rose flavoured and highly recommended. A thoroughly enjoyable and extremely tasty meal. Staff are all very friendly...
