Expect a friendly service using the drive thru. McDonald’s are currently experiencing shortages with certain items and they are quite apologetic about this. My main issue with most fast food chains is the speed with which the burgers are prepared - I”d argue they prepare the food too quickly. When the packaging is unwrapped, you are left with a burger where the patty is misplaced, half the cheese is stuck to the packaging, the inner sauce has spilled out etc. This is precisely what happened when I purchased a double quarter pounder with cheese recently. I would also query the heat of the food, I find the food can be lukewarm. Why do the fizzy drinks lack fizz and taste?! I appreciate the drinks served are watered down and not the same recipe as canned drinks - why do we put up with this? Soft drinks are a big negative from me. Read moreJust visited this Macdonalds. On a good note staff are working extremely hard in difficult circumstances and are very polite. The downside. One way in one way out but they've got it the wrong way round. People are entering and queuing next to people eating standing for quite a while less than a foot away but leave down the isle between the 2 seating areas??? No one is guiding people so people are arriving grabbing what few seats there are then going to get thier food while others are getting food and when issued with table numbers then find that thier rable has been taken while they've queued for food by the people grabbing tables before ordering. This process is not explained on arrival so people where getting stressed putting staff under pressure. All the time we were there not one staff member cleared orcleaned and sanitized the tables. Read moreOver the short time I have lived in Herne Bay, I have come to learn not to expect anything from MacDonalds in Chestfield. I have ordered countless deliveries - had problems, missed items, and orders cancelled 95% of the time. Even the drive thru seems to be plagued with extremely long waits and forgotten orders. The only time you seem to be able to get decent service here is if you actually step foot in the place...however this has been limited as I have tried to stay clear.
It's rare I post a bad review, but if there was an Ofsted for MacDonalds, this branch would be given notice to improve. I am not the only one to experience these problems so regardless of this being a franchise, maybe MacDonalds as a company should be considering whether this branch really represents the MacDonalds brand in good light and if the answer is no, then maybe something should be done to improve it,...
