Tower Tea Gardens — Restaurant in Canterbury

Avoid!! Please go to the Bubble Cafe or the tea rooms at Whitstable Castle instead. No clean drinking water here, plus the following: It takes a looong time to order because the woman serving talks and talks and talks, rather than serving food, despite seeing the queue. The woman serving said I couldn't have tap water because it's not drinking water... it's only for washing up with... Not good for a food and drink establishment! Then just you try and sit down to eat the ice cream after spending £18... You can't sit there, the grass is being mown, you can't sit on your blanket otherwise my boss will be really angry! We own this piece of grass and you cannot sit on your blanket. I said I wanted to talk to this 'boss' and complain, but she rudely turned her back on me when I was talking and walked off. So we had to leave since two adults and 4 children can't squeeze onto two chairs around a table and in a terrible atmosphere. Another group with dogs, also had to move due to grass being cut, and then also made to leave because they had the audacity to sit on a blanket. Shocking treatment, and rather alarming...

Been here before,.sadly this time the food was average, the scones were either frozen and defrosted or nearly stale, very hard. Sausages rolls were not worth the price either.

The ice cream sign is misleading as they only sell certain ones but haven't crossed off the others they don't sell, watched many customers walk away disappointed. No longer sell ice cream in cones
