I have in the past gone to The Gardeners regularly It has recently had a change in ownership/management? I visited on Sunday for the usual special Sunday roast beef. I was disappointed as the beef was curled up at the edges and had obviously been warmed up. It also had gristle in each piece. The veg consisted mainly of peas and carrots with 1 piece of broccoli balanced on top. The gravy was so thick that we had to use a knife to get it out of the gravy boat onto Yorkshire pudding! We decided to give it another try Sunday coming and go for a meal a bit earlier. Will be sad if our experience is going to be the norm in future. Negatives - Undercooked onion rings and peas. Dried out fudge cake. Dirty cutlery. Dirty glass was asked to be replaced, but the dirty one was rinsed, wiped, and returned. TV channel was changed to show football whilst people were watching the program that was on already, and who had no interest in football, which was already on another large tv anyway. First one is the strange set up in front of the big screen. There is a bar sitting type thing, which I don't know how to exactly describe that creates a big gap in front of the big screen. This acts as a barrier to more people watching the football. Is very odd design.
Second one is that at 3pm all the mum's come in after school run to feed their kids, it's a nightmare. Especially as they all play where the darts boards are. Which is meant to be adults only. They play there at the...
