Munchies Café — Restaurant in Chelmsford

Had a set 1 breakfast. Not the cleanest Café. My table was wiped over before I ate. But I had been seated for 10 minutes. The table resembles a old classroom table even with places scratched into the worktop. Pitsea, Tilbury and South woodham. When my breakfast arrived I needed to throw the skinless over cooked sausage a life belt to stop it drowning in the bean sauce. More sauce than beans. Burnt bacon from being pressed on the hotplate to cook faster. But the fried egg was sunny side up and runny which for me was perfect 👌. Bread and butter a good option and the Black Coffee was very weak and taste less. Unfortunately I took no photos. Because I only take pictures...

This café is large, clean sand spacious.

The seating is comfortable although you may need to choose your seat because the noise in the café varies hugely because of the radio's location.

The food is pretty average fare in line with most cafes. Nothing special but not bad.

The service was poor. They were not friendly or welcoming. Despite not being busy, took a while to come over, didn't pay attention asking the same questions several times and, ultimately, getting my order wrong.

Popped in Saturday for lunch, shepherd's pie was ok but missing gravy, on previous visits food has been really good, waiting for drinks for over 15 minutes while the staff were all on there phones behind the counter, the floor was interesting, cutlery under a couple of tables mud and waist food pretty much under every table, with the amount of staff there doing not a lot there's no need for the floor to be such a mess, shame we...
