We went to the tearoom at 12.45pm (booked for 12.30) after a guided tour of the dolls rooms in the main house. We were greeted by the staff who couldn't have been more inviting and friendly. We was shown to our table and offered any hot or cold drinks we would like, we went for a pot of tea and was told we could have as much as we wanted and to just get their attention and they would accommodate our needs. The afternoon tea was put in the centre of the table and was one of the best we have had. (So regret not getting a photo before we started). After we had finished, we were reminded that access to the gardens was free as part of the booked so we decided to give it a go. The gentleman who served us said that if we fancied another drink after our walk, we were welcome to come back, and our drinks would be free. This will certainly not be our last visit to both the tower and the tearoom as the wife wants to do the house tour next. If any of the staff/volunteers from today read this, THANK YOU for making our...

As per my review for Houghton towers we came to the supercar event and came to the tea room as picnics are not allowed as you make money to help with the upkeep of the hall. I am gluten and dairy free and I checked the website before I came I also tried to call and left a message which was never returned, the website stated that gluten free and other option were available ( obviously not) there were sandwiches and cake apparently because there was a food village outside. I came to the tearoom because I had supposedly done my research. I was not very impressed it gave a very poor impression of what should be a lovely lunch location. Sorry but you really missed the...

Attended the ghost tour (Oct 2024) Amazing food and service on the ghost tour. The staff were incredible and the food was delicious, I really enjoyed my Vegan option of butter pie and cheese cake, my sister said her food was really tasty too. The ghost tour was fantastic, I really enjoyed being walked around the halls by the silent, black robed torch barers. The atmosphere was great, the stories told along the way where capitivating and the tour ended with tales in front of a big roaring fire. Would highly recommend to anyone fancying something a bit different! Will definitely be returning for other events. Thanks for...

A fascinating place. I have lived very close to Hoghton Towers for years but have never visited before. The guide (Eric) was a mine of information, and explained the hustory and key events that occurred in the history of this building. Well worth a visit.

After enjoying a tour of the historical house and time to take in the stunning views of the Lancashire countryside from the walled gardens we enjoyed afternoon tea in the cosy , informal tea rooms. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon
