We booked here for 7.20pm for 4, after ordering our food and drinks at about 7.30pm we then waited 15 mins for our drink to arrive and to make matters worse the bottle of prosecco we ordered was not chilled, we then ask for an ice bucket to chill the bottle but were given a cocktail jug full of ice 🤷‍♂️ which was no use at all, we then waited 35 mins for 1 starter of nachos and then a further 40 mins for our main meals, even then it was wrong, I had ordered a medium rare steak and my partner medium to well, after receiving our meals we both realised they had been cooked to order but were on the wrong plates, I ordered a mixed grill and my partner a surf and turf which were served to us on very small plates with everything pilled up on top of each other which wasn't ideal when we were trying to swap steaks, I know it a minor point but I think if you order those kind of meals they should served up on big oval plate to make it a bit easier to eat, our friends also received there meal about 5 mins before ours which meant by the time we received ours they had ploughed through half of theirs, don't get me wrong the food was good so hats of to the chef's but the overall experience was bad, the service was terrible and not at all attentive, in fact we were not asked once how our food was or if we needed any condiments, the cutlery was brought to us but that was it, and only after we asked how much longer we would have to wait for our food did the manager come over and apologise for the wait, the only saving grace was the food in my opinion, my steak and egg was cooked to perfection, the gammon, and chicken were good and our nachos starter was nice, it's just a shame the service was terrible and let the night down.

This wasn't a great meal and you could argue 3 stars is too high. The reason for the 3 stars is because it's the first time I've had a half decent steak for under £13. No idea how they even make money on that. It wasn't great by any means. The beef dripping sauce was also massively lacking in flavour. But not sure anywhere else where you can feed 2 people with drinks for just over £20 all in. For that reason I actually recommend it. Especially if you are on a budget.

We had the rib and rump and the loaded surf and turf. This came with spiral chips and sweet potatoes chips plus a pepper sauce. Along with this we had a pint of best plus a Draught coke. The total cost of the meal excluding a tip was £37.50 which I thought was a little expensive hence the 3 stars. On the other hand the service was good. The food was good. The Decor needs touched up.

Booked for Mother’s Day.. not the best to be honest, starters and main meals were good, although the steaks were a bit chewy and far too many onions. Burgers were amazing, £1.70 extra for the salad was a bit steep for the size of the portion. Desserts.. where do I start. No cheesecake, no eton mess and no brownies (half the dessert menu!) so ordered the oreo sundae instead, arrives.. no chocolate fudge cake or flake in it after it reading this in the description, I asked the waiter if there were no flakes left, she said she would check, also asked about the fudge cake which she stated was at the bottom.. came back with a pack of buttons because there’s no flakes left, after digging deep with the spoon there was no cake in it. Lied to my face about it, returned it to the bar looking like a non Eton mess, asked for the bill, when paying the girl apologised to me then to follow up asking what they didn’t have that we pre-ordered, which the desserts weren’t, so therefore they done nothing wrong.. shocking customer service and won’t...

I went here for the first time last year and it quickly became our go to choice for q dinner out as it was cheap but the food was really tasty! I like that you have to go to bar to order food and drinks because if your out with a few people splitting the bill can be a bit annoying so this is the easiest way in my opinion. However the last 2 times we have been here honestly hasn't been great... weve had a raw beef burger, steak that was so tough a dentist appointment has had to be made 😭 and a gammon steak that was almost uncutable.... we were told that there was a new chef... this maybe why its not been great the past couple of times as he's still finding his feet... I'm not saying we won't be back ever, just taking a little break in the hope the next time we come its back to how it was last year 🙂

Front of house staff are absolutely brilliant, I always take my 1 year old in and every time one of them walks past the table they always make a point of saying hello to him which I think...
