ChinaTown Colchester — Restaurant in Colchester

We ordered the food online from china town when it opened at 17:30 for it to say on line it will come at about 18:15, then it changed to 18:30 and 18:39 I received a text to say The food is on it way! At 19:00 I rang the Chinese restaurant to find out where it was and they assured me it will be piping hot and be with me soon as it’s all been cooked fresh and piping hot. At 19:15 the food arrived the sweet and sour sauce and curry sauce cups were melted and soft. (Probably re heated) the chips were missing my chicken curry was so watery and my sons prawn toast was soggy again probably reheated!!! With that I rang the restaurant STRAIGHT away but it rang and rang. So I put the phone down and tried again a few minutes later and HAS BEEN ENGAGED ever since. I live chatted just eat and they kindly refunded £17.00 back to my account. Im not at all happy with the customer service or the amount of time it took to get our food. I still can’t get through to Chinatown so I would 100% never use them again!!😡😡 That was probably the worst chines I’ve ever had from Colchester. Disappointed isn’t the word. I choose Chinatown after reading the good reviews. One not very happy...

Disappointed 😞 went in with a friend for the all you can eat buffet on the Sunday. You order at the table, and they bring you the food. The chicken and sweetcorn soup tasted nice enough,but the chicken didn't taste like chicken, and it had a bit of the fat/jelly to which I put to the oneside. The chicken curry 🍛 wasn't the best taste either. The chicken again was a chewy texture. Then, when we wanted a dessert, we we're told it wasn't included in the price, which I've never had before at a chinese buffet it's usually all included. And when they brought the dessert out, it was rock hard to begin with as they must keep them all ready made in a freezer. The small glass of orange and lemonade was £3,00 😳 and the total bill was over £60 I may have put up with the bill had the food been exceptional,but it wasn't, so unfortunately, I'll be giving this place a miss. It is in lovely surroundings and the staff are really friendly,but it's the food I want...

ordered egg fried rice, kung po chicken, beef chow mein, chicken balls sweet and sour sauce and beef curry after being told they dont do special curry. egg fried rice????? wasn't even fried. was soggy boiled rice with half a tsp of egg. was rank. kung po chicken didnt even taste right. was just a sweet sticky sauce that had no flavour to it. chow main noodles where soggy. next to nothing of beef in it. chicken balls was huge but a small piece of chicken with loads of batter. didn't receive my beef curry. instead they sent me crispy chilli beef that was just batter!!!!! no beef what so ever... and cost 35 blxxxdy pound!!!! called to complain they was very rude. this chinese takaway are using all the tricks to scam you... please avoid and try ANY OTHER CHINESE TAKEAWAY. or why not try for yourself to experience the worst chinese takeaway in the uk. this takeaway should be shut...
